“Previously when I have flown with Jet2 and parked with APH there has been no problems. However, having accepted an offer of 25% off my booking I went ahead and book to use Drop & Go on 16th September. This was the morning of the pea-soup fog, especially when I left my home at 5.00am. For some reason I was booked in to Terminal 3 Drop & Go despite flying from Terminal 1. In the dark and fog, I pitched up to where I normally park. No, informed that I needed to go to T3 D&G. An hour later, having driven around and around, reversing from places that were no-admittance, at one point on a road leading to Wilmslow and been told, by other robots, that I was at the wrong place. Try finding a human being on foot in the fog and dark who might, just possibly, know where I needed to get to park No chance. Finally, one stop from a heart attack, I pitched up to be told that there was a bus that would take me to T1 or that it was a five-minute walk. It never arrived! Fortunately, a young couple had the same problem. Thanks to them helping me, we walked to T1 and I got to the check in.
I had the feeling that there was a little man in a little office watching, on a screen, this demented old woman nearly having a heart atttack, trying to find T3 Drop & Go. Mind you, signage at Manchester Airport has never, ever, been driver friendly. Many years ago, there was a complaint that the Exit signs were not large enough when approaching roundabouts.
Rant over. The human beings, that are at Key Drop and Key Collection, are so helpful and respectful to this old woman. Thank you to them.”
