There are no signs to indicate where on Ambassador rd the aph car park is. We guessed but were expecting problems when we drove out of the car park. PUT SIGNS UP!

Once the rather silly naming system had been digested (there seem to be short, mid and long stay subdivisions of each of car parks 1, 2 and 3), by panick-stricken review of our booking as we cruised the very confusing road signage, then we found 3 Mid Stay quickly. The length of the aisles between rows was very long, so a few more 'cut-throughs' would have reduced the amount of driving around, particularly on exit. Talking of exit, once we had crossed the road from the arrivals terminal, all signage disappeared and so we found ourselves trundling cases through anonymous car parks, wondering in vain if it were ours. Fortunately there didn't seem to be duplication of row letters A to Z, but in trying to access our Row K we happened across A and moved through some lettered rows in sequence. Unfortunately we were inhibited by a long barrier after about Row G, meaning a lengthy search (for weary travellers) for a 'cut-through' to the remainder of the alphabet. These 'cut-through' were not signed to help find them from a distance, and it did not help that a car was parked across one of these 'cut-throughs', making for difficulties with cases. Finally the so-called automatic barrier did not lift to release us, requiring a delay whilst the operator was summoned. In summary, confusing car park numbering (why not just call them car parks 1-9?), poor or absence of signage for foot traffic (both arrival and exit), and a less than competent exit barrier control.
