“Our usual car park choice at BHX. Just wish they had more blue badge spaces as find it difficult when in a tight space and unable to open car door fully”
“Arrival
We did experience some difficulties in finding the car park, as it was dark when we arrived and I am not sure if the car park sign was illuminated. I am also not sure if on entry the barrier is lifted automatically for any vehicle or if it recognised the number plate from the booking as it did lift to provide us entry, without taking a ticket.
The walk down to the hotel and terminal is relatively short and protection from the rain was provided by the covered walkway
Exit
Despite having booked several weeks in advance, the barrier wouldn't let us out when we returned from holiday. The registration was being shown on the screen but with a parking charge of £425 for 1 weeks parking!!!!!! We had to press the intercom and there was a long wait before someone answered.
The guy said it was because we hadn't entered the vehicle registration when we booked the deal which included an overnight stay at the Hilton Garden Hotel.
That was true at the time of booking because we hadn't decided which car we would be driving down to the airport. However once we had decided I went back into the booking and entered the vehicle details.
When he did lift the barrier to allow us to leave, it was like the Wacky Races, trying to get out to the 1st island. There were numerous vehicles leaving the drop off only location which continually blocked the hatched markings and the island itself was being blocked by traffic approaching it.
In future I would try and find an alternative site”
“Brilliant car park no problems whatsoever so close to the airport you can walk or like us wait for a bus which was 3 mins away as it was raining, would use again”
“Ample parking upon arrival. Shuttle bus is ideal with regular shirt trips to the terminal.. helped massively with the 5 cases.
Return was even better with the shuttle waiting to get us safely back to the car and on our way.. pretty seamless all round”
“Will definitely use the car park again. It was easy to find. There were plenty of spaces (even in a busy August school holiday week). We walked the short distance to the terminal though there is the option of hopping on the regular bus transfer. Worth noting that it is now a ticketless entry and exit - it couldn't have been easier - simply drive up to the barrier on exit and away you go”
