“The car park was easy to find and although it was busy, we were able to find a space quite easily. The ticket system did not work as expected. On arrival, we were expecting the number place recognition to know our car and raise the barrier as detailed in our booking. However, we had to take a ticket from the barrier machine. On returning from our holiday and exiting the carpark, again, we expected the barrier to recognise our car and therefore process that we had pre-paid. When this didn't happen, we put the ticket in which showed a large bill to pay. We used the intercom for assistance and the operator took our booking reference and confirmed we had paid and then raised the barrier. This all took time and caused a queue to build up behind us which was avoidable.
The process for taking a ticket and how this would work on exit could have been made clearer.
The car park itself and bus transfer were quick and straightforward.”
“This is the second time I have used car park 5 this year. On both occasions, the barrier did not lift on approach even though I had pre-booked, and I had to call for assistance.
On the first occasion, they tried to charge me £300 when I had pre-booked and paid.
The car park is good and convenient but the experience was soured by admin errors.”
“overall experience of car park 5 was good . a short walk to terminals and sufficient spaces available . only downside was on return and attempting to leave car park exit machine demanded £123 in excess charge which was incorrect as i’d prepaid in full . call to customer assistance did rectify issues but not something you need to deal with after a long return journey”
