“Arrived, parked with our pre-payed parking with APH, went on holiday. When we returned at 2.00am, attempted to exit the car park the machine at the exit barrier would not acknowledge the ticket issued on entry. Had to reverse the 100 metres to the payment area. The ticket not registered there either. Phoned the help desk, answered after 4 mins, the guy checked the booking and advised to go to the barrier again and telephone so he could lift the barrier. Did so took 4-5 mins to answer again and barrier then lifted. Good job it was quiet but a delay that you can do without at that time of day. Get your systems sorted!!!!!!!!”
“Large car park with plenty of available space. The buses are frequent but I prefer the five minute walk to airport. Helpful staff when you make an error on the booking!”
“Easy to find. Value for money. Good transfer to and from terminal.
However, barrier did not raise on arrival as stated on way in or way out. Barcode would not scan. As flight was delayed on return needed assistance. At gone 2am not very helpful.”
“Booking and access and parking ticket via number plate recognition were good. However on trying to exit after our holiday barrier machine ate my ticket and said I owed £178 excess charge to exit! Sorted out via intercom on barrier machine with an attendant. So please have your booking details with you at all times until you exit the car park. Interestingly when i recounted this story to a friend they confirmed the same thing had happened to them in April. The problem was quite quickly sorted out but it is not what you want after a long flight back to Birmingham”
“Car Park 5 was easy to book, was easily accessible and the terminal was within a short walk and transfer buses were available. One suggestion would be to avoid parking under/in close proximity to the lighting columns so as to avoid excessive ‘bird droppings’”
“Easy to find and park, within walking distance of the terminal. Only downside was that we had prebooked but our registration was not recognised to open the barrier - we were helped quickly one we had pressed the help button though”
