Transfer to the airport
From the moment we arrived we had issues- they couldn’t find our booking. I gave them my phone to see and scan the barcode- nothing worked. They then asked my husband to get out of the car- at the barrier and make a new booking with the attendant in the rain at 0500- with a big queue forming behind us. The bus drivers and the person who took us to the car were fantastic and super friendly. This would have been a positive review- until we landed…. Got on the transport and was told we had overstayed and needed to pay a £45. Puzzled we were taken to the office on the car park. There we stood outside in the rain for ages. I knocked on the door and explained the situation. My original booking was till 1700 on that day but the new booking they had put on wasn’t? Start and end to holiday very stressful, staff on bus very friendly and easy to get transfers to airport and back. Seems those higher up need to sort their booking process out.

Transfer to the airport
Your systems and processes are terrible, and the worst I have experienced anywhere. I booked on line earlier in the day, got a confirmation through. Arrived at the gate and the booking had not gone through to them. Then had a really long delay, with a large queue behind me, while they tried to find the booking and then created a new booking. You then expect your staff to print off a sticky label that is the wrong size for the card so they then stick it on and wrap around the edge. The parking area is rough ground and very difficult to roll cases over, and I was very glad it was dry as I imagine it would be much worse if it was wet. When I collected the car, I was then told there was a £45 surcharge as the booking was only for one day, and I had been 4 days. The details printed on the sticker were all correct with the full booking period and had been printed from the system. The staff could not understand how the system could also have just one day. Then had to dig out my confirmation before I was allowed to leave without paying the surcharge. Overall a really poor experience. The staff were pretty good and did their best but seem to be stuck with poor systems and processes.

Transfer to the airport
Car park was very close to Birmingham airport and easily to get to from the M42. It was good to have someone drive in front of you to guide you to a parking space. Coach was waiting for us. On return we had a short wait at the airport for the coach to arrive for the short journey back to the car park. The car park is tarmac'd which I appreciate. There are toilets at the entrance and exit to the car park which are handy.

Transfer to the airport
My recent experience was far from satisfactory. The primary issue I encountered was the unreliability of the transfer service. The entire point of an express transfer is to provide a quick and efficient journey to the airport, but unfortunately, this was not the case. The waiting time was exceedingly long, which completely contradicts the concept of an "express" transfer. This delay caused unnecessary stress and frustration, especially when traveling on a tight schedule. There was significant confusion regarding the ticket colors. Initially, we were told that there was a different bus for blue tickets and that the current bus only accepted yellow tickets. This caused a lot of uncertainty among passengers. It turned out that the bus we were waiting for was indeed the correct one, but the driver himself was confused about the ticketing system. This mix-up added to the chaos and demonstrated a lack of coordination and communication within the service. Overall, the service was a real mess. The disorganization and poor management left a lot to be desired. APH Express Birmingham needs to get their act together and improve their service to ensure a smoother, more reliable experience for their customers. Until then, I would hesitate to recommend this service to others.
