“When we arrived they said they had no record of the car we were in although we got through the registration recognition at the gate. When we went to the machine to get our key to collect the car it had the wrong registration and model of the car but luckily enough we got them without bother at 03:00 am in the morning.”
“Compared with the original APH parking facility we used for several years before being "transferred" to this "Airparks" site it was the most stressful experience and we will NEVER, EVER use you again if this is the future of APH Birmingham.
Despite being assured that it was really easy to get to I reckon that, without Sat Nav, it would have been a 5 mile trip enough to tax my patience to the full. The staff were very pleasant when we got there, however, and the transfer was fine.
Our problems started when we returned as the instructions we had about procedure on arrival at the car park itself gave ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT we had to do so that it was only the bus driver who saved the day as he told us to give him the TINY scrap of paper (that your instruction simply said to show to the driver on our return) that I almost threw away as I had not been told anywhere on your obviously totally inadequate instructions to retain AT ALL COSTS as it was this tiny scrap of paper that the driver then used to scan some machine which then told him which little locker (in a bank of little lockers) my key was in and he then opened it an gave me my key. had he not been there-driven off for example- or I had thrown away this little scrap of paper ( THE VITAL PIECE OF PAPER) I could not have been able to access my key locker, get my key and go home. As far as I could tell the site was totally deserted with no evidence that there were ANY STAFF ON SITE AT ALL.
All in all ABSOLUTELY APPALLING and UNACCEPTABLE.
I would strongly advise anyone thinking of using this "facility" to be very careful indeed.”
“This was our first experience of the Mackadown APH and it did not disappoint. Excellent staff, a very secure car park and easy transfers to the airport with friendly drivers. On our return, the key collection system worked really well and we would happily use APH again. Many thanks to you all.
