Bought it for my mother who is partially sighted. Its for a birthday present so she hasnt received it yet but am sure she will be delighted. My brother has downloaded songs for her he said it was very easy. A lovely radio.

I bought this for my mother and she absolutely loves it. The controls are very simple and there are no decisions to be made. She is generally resistant to anything new, and anything that could be considered technology, but she has been playing it non-stop, and singing along to the songs that I loaded. The songs provided were not good. The staff were also very helpful. I put the wrong address on the purchase and they had to send out another one. The only difficulty was getting hold of mp3 files. I had put together a Spotify playlist, but then found that there was no legal way to export the songs to mp3. I eventually found a python script that searched for all the songs in the list on YouTube and exported those. You should think about how you are going to gather the mp3 files before purchasing.

Hubby and I are so pleased for this, for my MIL, she loves old school hymns and we literally downloaded a whole load onto this and she loves it, despite being quite confused and struggling to even remember family, she remembers the hymn tunes and cried when hubby first showed her how to play them. While expensive it is worth every penny knowing how much it made her smile

We bought the Simple Music Player for Dad's 87th birthday. He has always loved his jazz music but unfortunately, despite having hundreds of LP's, he is no longer able to use his stereo equipment. This player is just so easy to use (once down-loaded with music for him by a young person!!). Dad's face was a picture when we first switched it on for him. He can now enjoy his music again so easily. It has a great sound too. We are very impressed and Dad loves it.

The player is excellent for people who have impaired cognitive function. The tunes that came included are very poor but it’s easy to copy other music on to the internal memory (I have managed >300 tunes) it use external storage. The only real drawback is that it must be permanently plugged into the mains and if switched off it always starts at the first track. An internal rechargeable battery would be an excellent upgrade imho.

Bought this for my Dad, 91 and gets confused with buttons. This product is just what he needed. I downloaded easily all the music he likes to listen to and now he listens to his music all day.
