Thank you for your review and comment. I just wanted to respond to the concern with regard to the vein still being in the prawns. We can confirm that this is unlikely that it may be the main digestive system. This could be the thin line which runs underneath the prawn not linked to the digestive tract which is just part of the structure and is not visible after cooking. The prawns are starved for 24 hours prior to harvesting so that the digestive track is clear so would not necessarily be the dark black vein that is removed during the preparation process. “Having received the first order since the website and product range changed, I would like to say that I am disappointed with the changes. I do not need everything to be packaged individually and in plastic. This has increased your prices however I am not sure that it is very environmentally friendly. I will give some further consideration to this when deciding whether to order again from Regal Fish or whether I look for an alternative supplier.

I am sorry you are not happy with the changes. I noticed you received a courier order rather than a van delivery this time and wanted to reassure you this option is still available. We deliver these without a box as our vans are climate-controlled so we can use less packaging on these.
Regarding the plastic packaging, we have to ensure our products are all wrapped to food standards. Our packaging is recyclable with bags at larger supermarkets. Please ensure you wash it thoroughly to avoid any disruptions to the recycling chain. The courier box and void fill can be recycled with your other cardboard items at home. The WoolCool insulation can be composted or repurposed. Here's a link to some great ideas for it: https://www.woolcool.com/woolcool-recycling-ideas/ . Our ice packs can be disposed of according to your local authority regulations.

“I am not too sure about the order being delivered by courier rather than the usual refrigerated van as this incurred using a lot of insulation material and I do not know what to do with the fluid filled sheets of icing.

I am sorry you were not happy with your delivery. We have recently switched our courier packaging to reduce our environmental impact and move towards more sustainable ways of packaging our produce via our courier delivery service. We experienced a few problems initially but have a temporary solution in place while looking for a permanent one.
