I was quite surprised by 2 factors that I encountered: 1. The videos do not have subtitles or captions. Yes, the content of the class is downloadable in a pdf format and the lecturers speak slowly and clearly, however, it is a feature that is very well spread in any video format and it would be very helpful as the classes are recommended for not native english speakers as well. 2. If I interrupt a video, and go back later to that one, it does not keep the point where I last interrupted, which is also a very common and wide spread feature and I would expect it. Another thing: 3. The texts on the lectures of Andy McIndoe contain a lot of mispelling in the plants' latin name. There are not many texts so I would assume it is not difficult to write them down correctly and also, check them for spelling.

Hi Agota Thanks so much for your review and feedback! We're working on adding subtitles to the videos, and should have this available in the next few months, in the meantime very often the notes include a transcript or you can let us know if you need a transcript. Pausing a video is great feedback - we'll pass that onto our video system team - you're right this should be the case! And finally we'll ask the tutor to check over the notes. Again thank you so much for your feedback. Best wishes Alex

Video very helpful, class contribution non existent. Not sure the tutor feedback, while helpful, is extensive enough for the price. For a £90 uplift I expected more.

I did designing small gardens with annie guilfoyle. I was disappointed that she was clearly reading from a script. I think a few real life examples would have added interest. Expensive for what it is and if you're aiming to take rhs level 2 exams there are better providers.

The website, request for information, prior to, signing up and the actual course content itself was excellent (historic garden restoration) but having selected the expert option, over a month after submitting my first assignment and the others weekly thereafter, I have had zero feedback. I have chased this up twice and have been told I'll get feedback soon but over 2wks later, still waiting. Made worse by the fact that about a week after signing up the course was reduced by about £40 in black Friday sale and this kept being advertised every time I signed into my account!

The 1 module of the rhs diploma level 2 with Noel Kingsbury was very good informative and felt like a proper lecture on line. The subsequent lectures supposed to be and advertised to be taken by Tom Cole where horrendous. I am sure Hillary Thomas is a superb horticulturalist but having read the principles of horticulture level 2 text book myself all she did was read from the text very few visual aids and the slides never matched up with what she said. Suffice to say I got more from the text book than I did from the 2 lectures. What they do give you is a base for self taught learning but you still need to read the syllabus to make sure you are focused on the right subjects. They are not expensive so if you are confident and able it’s better than spending a fortune on a full coarse.

Hi Timothy Thanks for your review and feedback. We'll pass on your feedback to both tutors, and also look into how we can improve the course structure with the RHS syllabus. Thanks Alex

I thought with my course I would get more feedback on my assignments but this has not been the case which is a little disappointing. May be I am posting to the wrong tutor?

Hi Edwina Thanks for your review and feedback. I can see you opted for the Peer level of the course which includes access to our video lessons, online classroom, assignments and notes. Our Expert option includes direct access to the tutor and your tutor personally marks your assignments. Sorry if that wasn't clear enough - and we'll certainly re-visit and see if we can improve descriptions! Thanks again for your feedback - it's much appreciated! Alex

The videos are good and there is support. However, because it’s all online there is no interaction with others and you can’t ask questions on the topic in real time in order to advance your own understanding. I find I need to watch the video 2 or 3 times to fully take on what is being taught.

Hi Cathy Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the lessons. We're working on ways to encourage more student interaction - and you can already post your questions into the classroom, or if you have Expert access, contact the tutor directly. Again thanks so much for your review - it's really valuable to help us develop our courses. Alex
