“RHS Level 2 course. I have been disappointed with the quality of the online lecture material which could have been presented in a much more engaging and informative way. If we are learning from the Experts we want their experiences,stories and anecdotes around the topic, or maybe a recorded discussion between them. Instead, we have a very dull video reading word for word the text in the lecture notes which we can read ourselves. A number of them were also delivered in a very monotone and frankly boring manner enough to put anyone to sleep.”

“I was disappointed with this course as I feel I learnt very little. Specifically I would have learnt more from Jim telling me what lens he used and what camera settings he used. I did not like how the course panned in or out of a photograph especially when Jim is talking about composition - the zooming was cropping out the image so what he was saying did not make sense. The editing section was so brief I almost missed it. I would have benefited from Jim walking me through an edit process in LR or PS. I appreciate we all have our own style and client needs but I learnt nothing from this course and Jim obviously has so much experience to share. Shame.”

“The content was useful but the way it was delivered was incredibly poor. The presenter faced the camera and effectively read word for word the document interspersed with a few photos. Having used futurelearn which applies varied learning tools - video / reading / interactive exercises- I was hugely disappointed and do not think it worth paying for.”

“In short, there is no feedback or input from tutors. It is unclear whether we should expect that at the end of the course or whether it has simply been missing during the process. This means that everyone interprets the course work differently and one loses confidence that one is doing the 'right thing' to meet expectations. I therefore, have rather given up! I enjoyed the videos on my particular course and found them instructive and learnt things along the way. However, I think the information provided could be clearer on what to expect in terms of feedback and tutor engagement.”
