“Very helpful, honest and constructive feedback from the experts and a good set-up with the chat forum where you can get the same kind of conversation with fellow participants as you would expect in a classroom. Videos are broken down and titled per section well so it is easy to recap areas ahead of assignment writing. This course was a role requirement from my management and I was a bit dubious about it being quite intense given the RHS reputation for standards but I am enjoying it so couldn't ask for more!”

“The 1 module of the rhs diploma level 2 with Noel Kingsbury was very good informative and felt like a proper lecture on line. The subsequent lectures supposed to be and advertised to be taken by Tom Cole where horrendous. I am sure Hillary Thomas is a superb horticulturalist but having read the principles of horticulture level 2 text book myself all she did was read from the text very few visual aids and the slides never matched up with what she said. Suffice to say I got more from the text book than I did from the 2 lectures. What they do give you is a base for self taught learning but you still need to read the syllabus to make sure you are focused on the right subjects. They are not expensive so if you are confident and able it’s better than spending a fortune on a full coarse.”

I can see you opted for the Peer level of the course which includes access to our video lessons, online classroom, assignments and notes. Our Expert option includes direct access to the tutor and your tutor personally marks your assignments.
Sorry if that wasn't clear enough - and we'll certainly re-visit and see if we can improve descriptions!

“I was disappointed with this course as I feel I learnt very little. Specifically I would have learnt more from Jim telling me what lens he used and what camera settings he used. I did not like how the course panned in or out of a photograph especially when Jim is talking about composition - the zooming was cropping out the image so what he was saying did not make sense. The editing section was so brief I almost missed it. I would have benefited from Jim walking me through an edit process in LR or PS. I appreciate we all have our own style and client needs but I learnt nothing from this course and Jim obviously has so much experience to share. Shame.”

“(RHS Level 2) Deadly dull course. Lessons are videos of an 'expert' reading monotonously from a script, which is available as a pdf so not sure what the point of that is. Risible assignments. No contact with tutor. No discussion or interaction with other students. No suggestions for additional reading or other resources. Nothing to stimulate interest or spark ideas. I wish I realised sooner that there was a very small window in which to cancel and get a refund as I certainly would have.”
