About Biagio the Jewellers:

Biagio Patalano opened his first store in Bicester in the late 1980’s with the dream of creating a boutique richly stocked with rare and exclusive gemstones – mesmerizing tanzanites, rubies, emeralds and coloured sapphires filled the windows then and they continue to be at the very heart of what we do today.

The 1990’s saw the opening of a second store in Thame and a growing reputation for trusted advice, excellence and craftsmanship at truly competitive prices. Customers began to come to us, not only for our unique gems but also with previously acquired pieces and heirlooms which they wanted renovating or updating. Rejuvenating family pieces to suit their new guardians, in the knowledge that they would then be worn and enjoyed rather than hidden away, became a particular passion for Biagio, something he found so rewarding that re-design and personalisation are now a core specialism at Biagio the Jewellers.

Our aim is to ensure that buying jewellery from Biagio, whether it’s a truly special piece or an affordable everyday luxury, is always a pleasure.

Not for watch batteries! I was quoted £30 and £80 to send two watches away for new batteries. I had them both changed in Evans Yard Bicester for £13.

I have never ever left a review for anything before but feel that I should this time. I took my Longines gold watch in for a replacement battery. When I took it home it wasn’t working, so I took it back and was told it would need a service at a cost. It had been serviced at a smiths trained watchmaker in 2022 so I took it back there. They were appalled when they undid the back to find the battery was held in place by a piece of sellotape. It then went to their workshop to have a new battery cap. They said that the original one probably pinged off and that the sellotape was a replacement. The staff in the shop are lovely and very courteous but I wouldn’t recommend battery replacement.

I have shopped at this jewellers for years, bought wedding rings and engagement ring from them, but took a watch in to have a new battery put in it and was told it would take two days! The shop was empty and both assistants were not busy. I was shocked that neither assistants were able to change a battery! Well, perhaps they need to pop next door and learn how to do it. Extremely disappointed they do not offer this very basic service. Assistant didn’t even ask what make of watch it was so clearly can’t use top end brands needing to be sent away as an excuse.

Hi Anonymous I'm so sorry to read that your lastest visit to my shop was not a pleasurable one but as you know from your previous visits that we only give a 5 star service I think your comments are very harsh considering you don't know the full story We ask for two days as our turn over for batteries is huge just as of today we have taken in 38 watches of all brands including top end and you are the first person to complain about this service If you take it to next door they charge £15 and take a week Again I'm sorry for your experiance with us Regards Biagio
