We have used British & Irish Walks to book several long-distance walking trips in the British Isles over the past 10 years. They are always responsive and atentitive to our requests. On the rare occasion when there is a glitch (inn owner can't find a reservation, etc,) Chris and others always respond quickly and find a solution. Baggage transfers have always gone smoothly, and accommodations have been to our liking. Pricing seems more than reasonable.

In early May 2024 our group of four from Canada did a walk in England's Peak District. I'd highly recommend it! It's grand and beautiful countryside, at times dramatic, and quite varied from one walking day to the next. The villages are charming with interesting heritage, and Chatsworth was part of our itinerary too. Our group of reasonably healthy 58-66 year olds did fine with the notable up and down hills in this 'moderate' rated walk. This was our third walk arranged through British and Irish Walks! Chris at their office modified the standard itinerary to suit our group's needs and interests. Arrangements were seamless. The accommodation, usually at a village inn, was always comfortable (posh on a couple of nights) with all amenities and good food.

We have done numerous walks with World Walks. We keep coming back because everything always goes smoothly, and the staff is so helpful. We just completed a brief walk in the Cotswolds. The accommodations were great, and everything went exactly the way we requested. Because of some strange circumstances, we had to keep changing our plans, and World Walks Was amazingly accommodating. I certainly highly recommend them as an organization.

Just completed my second Camino using World Walks. The organisation of the trip and the smooth passage of our luggage each and every day was first class. This year, having enjoyed the Camino de Frances last year myself and my wife opted for the Camino Portuguese walking from Porto to Tui on The Camino Central. The first day on the boardwalk along the Atlantic coast was spectacular. The mad storm we walked into during the last hour of the walk was an experience in itself. The walk itself was considerably longer than the estimate given in our guide and ,indeed this was a feature of every single walk on this particular Camino so it ended up being much longer than envisaged. Our program for the next 2 days suggested we would be strolling through beautiful countryside for most of the 2 days. This was certainly not the case and we spent too much time walking through non descript towns and along roads with no footpaths. The yellow Camino signs between Vila do Conde and Barcelos were very poor especially leaving the town at the outset. The weather was very poor and walking towards traffic was not pleasant. This was a far cry from just how nice the previous years Camino had been.Despite being the Easter weekend next to nothing was opened and we encountered very few other walkers. The accomodation on nights 2 and 3 however was excellent. The walk on day 4 was beautiful, much shorter but still physically demanding and we arrived at Rubiaes in great form. The accomodation here was very basic. The shower cubicle was a health hazard and the sheer volume of black mould above the shower was awful. The evening meal wasn’t great and my wife spent the whole night vomiting after it.The walk to the border on day 5 was, like the day before, much more Camino like and not spoilt by more heavy rain.We both enjoyed the walk over the River Mino into Tui and Spain. As we have now come to expect with World Walks our arranged transfer to Padron arrived on time and in no time at all we were heading to our final overnight stop before our arrival in Santiago. The final night accomodation was again excellent and we enjoyed our evening meal at the hotel. The final walk was very much like last year with magnificent countryside, small hamlets and many more walkers to chat to.A 30 k walk not 23K as suggested when we set off.We were every bit as excited and pleased to reach the cathedral in Santiago this year as we were last year. The Camino Ingles next year-Patrick Barr

Four of us did a section of the Célé valley. It was straightforward and well planned. Most of the accommodation was super with excellent choices of three course meals. Baggage collection was simple and well organised. Our bags were always there once we arrived at the next destination. I would definitely do this again and felt that it was very good value for money.

This was our fourth walk organized by British & Irish Walks. Once again, the team was very helpful in our arrangements and preparations. The team responded quickly to our concerns and challenges as they arose. Most recently we walked the Irish Wicklow Way. It was absolutely beautiful and the B&B's organized by British & Irish Walks were delightful. This was a fortieth wedding anniversary walk for Marilyn and me, and we are left with fabulous memories. Thank you to British & Irish Walks!

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk. This was the third I have done with Worldwalks. While we were not as well as we would have liked as we were recovering from probable COVID we were able to complete most of the days. The maps were helpful as we cut 2 days shorter than scheduled so could easily find alternative routes. I thought the quality of hotels and meals provided was excellent. The taxis were always on time and drivers were good.

World Walks was GREAT to work with, from start to finish. This was the first hiking trip that I had done like this, and the team at World Walks was VERY patient and accommodating, from answering (in hindsight) silly questions, to coming up with first rate arrangements. I recommend them without qualification and will use them again if the occasion arises. Cheers ! Gray McCalley

I didn't actually get to take my holiday (due to transport problems) though I very much wanted to. I only want to say here that their customer service is second to none. I am very experienced in dealing with self-guided walking companies, and I know that good customer service means a good holiday experience. I/we will be back!

We did a wonderful 4 night 3 day walk arranged by Cotswold Journeys. The Inns and villages selected for us were excellent and the transfer of our luggage was perfect. The guidebook provided was informative with clearly written directions. The walks were unique for us as they mostly went through fields with sheep, cows, a few horses, beautiful flowers and more sheep! We appreciated that the planning was so perfect that we did not have rain until 1 hour after finishing our last hike!

We wanted to walk the first part of the Via Podiensis from Le Puy to Moissac but with the Célé variant from Figeac to Cahors. Chris and Ann came up with a great itinerary for us! The variety of lodgings was excellent, the amount allotted for dinner at the places that provided it was quite generous. Within a week of returning home we'd decided to push on to the Pyrenees with World Walks--can't give a better recommendation than that!

We did the Kings Ludwig Way walk in Germany this summer and it was brilliant. Loved the castles and lakes along the way. Thanks to the WW team for making our trip a smooth and enjoyable one!

We had an extraordinary 4 days walking through the Lake District. Breathtaking, literally and figuratively. Ann at British and Irish Walks arranged for our stay in lovely inns along the way, as well as for transfers of our luggage. Cannot wait to get back to complete the Coast to Coast.

We had a great time in Crete with three days of hiking along the E4. It was so nice that World Walks booked the nights for us, since most of the hotels are closed this late in the season, and that they provided taxis for our trips from and to Chania. This is our 4th World Walks experience and we hope to have many more.

My wife and I have recently returned from our Moroccan holiday and I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you for the excellent tour you set up for us. The trip was everything we were looking for and much more, even with a fair amount of rainy weather during our stay! From the time we met our driver, Mohammed, at the Casablanca airport until he dropped us off in Marrakech, we were pleased with the plan. There was never a moment when we felt uncertain or worried about what was happening and it was refreshing to have each person we dealt with be sincerely interested in making our trip memorable. If the opportunity arises, I won't hesitate to recommend World Walks to any of our friends who want to plan a foreign holiday. David Bulson Telluride, Colorado USA

Did the Beaujolais walk, and just loved it. Hikes went through gorgeous countrysides and beautiful old towns. Stays were in various types of hotels and B&Bs, but all were interesting and welcoming. The stay at Domain des Averlys, in particular, was wonderful, with gracious hosts and good wines and food. Highly recommended!
