“The Dolce euphonium I bought has been delightful since its arrival four days ago. If arrived safely from the UK to my Massachusetts address in less than a week, and at a reasonable cost. Most important, it is a well-made and beautiful-sounding instrument. I did my research, and am convinced I could not have done better.”

“Wessex’s Piccolo Trombone is by far the best Piccolo Trombone that is buyable. The slide quality is very good and is able to play any tune you throw at it. The intonation is very spot on as well, considering that there is no tuning slide. It is a shame that their is no 6th or 7th position, As a low C is only playable by underblowing and bending a Db, and don’t even think about a low B natural. Overall, this is the best Piccolo Trombone on the market.”

“Hello! It is quite lovely, a very nice display case. We aren't sure what to do with the flat oval metal piece. The trombone has an air leak, which is unfortunate. We plan to have our experienced horn repair person evaluate the specifics. Please let us know if you have any suggestions. Thank you, The above message received a reply but for some reason a message was not able to be sent to you. The flat metal piece is not a part of the trombone but rather looks like logo/sticker of sorts. The instrument likely needs to be replaced as it does not play effectively with the air leak, please send information on method of having it replaced. Thank you, Monica Mulholland”

“Buyers should be aware that the thumb key is NOT adustible. The supplied mouthpiece does not fit the horn (wobbles in the receiver). The receiver is American (Morse) taper. The valves are stiff. Other than that it plays ok. Not the best effort from a good company. If a tuba/euphonium company is going to offer a french horn they should at least get someone around who knows horns, or maybe just forget it.”

“The third valve would not come up after it was pressed down and the second partial (concert F) was more than a quarter tone sharp. The 4th and 5th partials were markedly flat. It was a completely unplayable instrument.”

“great instrument overall only complaint is the tuning. the instrument plays well in tune in hot weather but in the cold it plays very flat and the tuning slide doesn't go in far enough to compensate. Also a few minor manufacturing defects like smudges on the levers but overall good horn.”

“My instrument arrived with one stuck slide and a second valve cap that did not screw down completely. This did not interfere with its function. I used the DHL label that was supplied by you and returned it the first week of August 2022. It is now the end of August and I am awaiting a refund. Also, I had originally ordered a baritone. I changed the order promptly to a euphonium but received messages that the baritone would also be sent. This was fixed in time but the fact that the first order wasn’t completely cancelled did cause some concern and a few extra emails.”

“I purchased the Chief mouthpiece as a backup in case of an accidental drop occuring to my original mouthpiece. I'm not impressed with the silver plating on the mouthpiece. The brass is showing through the silver. A second silver plating would have perhaps been sufficient. I feel the quality control of manufacturing in the Chinese plant needs attention.”

“It sounds. It sound good to me, but I was playing while listening so I don't know how it sounds to other people. It comes with medium and big bore attachements and mouthpieces, that was unexpected and possitive. First problem is that it is so thinly made that I was afraid it may break at any moment, anywhere Then the valves looked cheap, I was afraid of them failing any time. Worse problem though it that it is a copy of the Holton TR395 superbone, including what for me is the worse defect: you can not really tighten enough the valve block against the bell. One part gets screwed on the other but the bell weight pushes in the opening direction. How strongly can you tighten it? How many times before it gets damaged? All in all, return before the 2 week period was over, money back without any problem, I only lost the edlivery part as clearly indicated in the webpage.”

“The instrument was well made And had a nice case. It would have been good value, but: I could not get the notes to sound clearly. I am used to the French Horn embouchour. I checked for mechanical problems and for water blockage, but could find nothing wrong.”
