“A great selection of women's wear cycling gear and accessories. Would like to see more marketing pictures of larger lady models. The current marketing gives the impression cycling is only for slender ladies.”

“I bought a voucher as a Christmas present for a friend. The ordering & delivery were painless and quick! My only issue was that when I printed the voucher there was nothing to identify it as VeloVixen. A minor point, and my friend is now happily browsing (probably spent it ten times over by now!)”

“VeloVixen is generally very good. Good gear, well informed staff, and good prices. Occasionally, of late VV has been somewhat inclined to a touch of self-absorbed smugness.... But I am hoping that that won't settle into a sort of "Toast"-like perpetual affectation. Cycling should be more down to earth...more straightforward and direct. Like cyclists.”

“A great selection of brands for women. I wish there were a few cheaper brands too, however a lot of original styles. And definitely not all pink which is fab. Service is good and efficient too. Great to have a women only website.”

“I love the Velovixen page.....mostly. You’re attitude is fun and up to date. I love the gear you sell and that it’s for women in a place where men still seem to be the majority on a lot of shopping sites. My delivery was prompt and the customer contact is good, you even contacted me when I had nearly purchased an item then changed my mind. My little bugbear and it may just be me is, when I select a brand e.g. Castelli to look at say bib shorts (or anything) the filter section stays visible to my left and the “reviews “ are constantly to my right, it’s really distracting when at that point all I want to look at is the goods. Overall you’re doing great girls!!”

Hi, Fiona - thanks so much for taking such time and effort to write to us. You make very fair points and I'm delighted you're finding we're doing OK for the most part. As for your latter questions, you can close the reviews box with the X in the top right hand corner (I agree it's a bit frustrating you can't just click out of it); on the filter column on the left, we deliberately leave it open so that customers can adjust what they're filtering easily. “My orders and despatch have invariably been handled with admirable speed and efficiency - I’ve never received the wrong item - and communication has always been excellent. Sadly, with the passing of the years, the range of stock no longer suits this veteran cyclist. It must be due to my age!”

Hi, Hazel - thanks for your review. We totally take your point about stock availability - we'd love to have a more watertight range but 2020's unforeseeable increase in demand has floored a lot of our suppliers in that respect. It's something we're hoping they put right in 2021, and we're working on ways to mitigate it ourselves too. Best wishes, Phil (CEO)
