About The British Blanket Company:

The British Blanket Company is a family-run business bringing colour, comfort and warmth to homes all over the UK and beyond. Founded by siblings Bethan and Joe, we’re passionate about creating beautiful blankets that feel as good as they look.

Our designs begin in our Bristol studio, where we pair joyful colour palettes with timeless patterns. Each blanket is then woven at traditional mills around the British Isles using natural, sustainable fibres like wool and recycled cotton.

What makes us special is our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. We work closely with our makers and choose materials that are kind to both people and the planet.

Our customers love us for our uplifting colours, thoughtful touches and the cosy feeling that comes with every blanket. Whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’re here to help you find a little extra joy, every day.

“Terrible quality and insulting customer service I bought a woollen blanket for £95 and have only used it three times — it already has a tear in it. I sent photos to the company, and they offered me a refund of just £4.75 for a clearly faulty product! That’s completely unacceptable. Under UK consumer law, an item should be of satisfactory quality, and this clearly isn’t. Their response shows a total lack of respect for customers and product quality. I would strongly advise others to avoid buying from this company — poor quality, poor service, and no accountability”

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We take all feedback seriously and carefully review any concerns raised, as we want every customer to feel confident in both our products and our service. We’re proud that our blankets are woven by skilled artisans here in the British Isles and undergo strict quality checks before leaving the mill. This blanket was delivered in perfect condition with no manufacturing or flaws. Two months later, the blanket became damaged when the selvedge was snagged and a couple of threads were pulled. While this wasn't a fault with the quality of the product itself, we politely offered helpful advice on how to care for the blanket and repair the damage. In situations like this, where the issue isn’t due to a manufacturing or quality problem, we still do our best to help. That’s why we offered a goodwill gesture to acknowledge the disappointment, even though expectations went beyond what would be fair in the circumstances. We know that a single negative review can stand out, but we encourage readers to also explore the many positive reviews we’re grateful to have received, which reflect the quality of our blankets and the care we take with customer service. - Bethan & Joe - The British Blanket Company
