Terrible. If you are young and looking for help in getting into the makeup industry do not pick LSM. Its about money, once you’ve finished the course they couldn’t careless. The opportunity for fashion week is all rubbish unless you are persistent with them and even then you have to nag. The staff are rude and extrely unhelpful. If you are from a country elsewhere it’s amazing because you can make them look good, other than that it’s really unhelpful and best to find a better course with better staff who actually care for the people they have learning from them.

Unfortunately, this student Tilly Rose Day along with some others were amongst the most disruptive student when in the class. Not only did she bully other students and staff she also as one can see from her comments regarding foreign students showed racist tendencies. The management of this school will not tolerate such behaviour and spoke to this particular group regarding their attitude. We received complaints regarding her behaviour from most of our professional guest make-up artists. Last night we held the audition for the LSM Pro-team for London Fashion Week which she was not invited to take part, therefore the comments from her in this review. However, three others we are pleased to say from this particular class are part of our team this season.

Teaching methods were extremely poor. Extremely expensive for essentially 20 days. Bank holidays were not given back to us. I can't say anything good about the course. I thought it was a massive waste of money. I didn't come away learning anything at all. I thought £3000 could be better spent and the teaching methods were awful. YouTube tutorials are better. And free! I thought that the London School of Makeup was terrible. This school had a very strange work practice whereby it was theory based. For the money we spend, it should have been completely practical. My advice is go to a school that does 100% practical and no theory at all. Putting makeup on faces is what you are paying to learn. In fact, my advice if you want to become an MUA, is just practice on people and don't stop. Learn everything on free YouTube tutorials without the £3000 price tag. What I would give to get compensation. A refund or partial refund would be a dream. Don't do it. YOUTUBE TUTORIALS is the way forward. And practice on your friends. This school was over priced and under qualified.

We are most surprised by these comments as we have had fantastic reviews from students who attended the same course. Also this course has no theory involved other than watching the make-up artist demo for a couple of hours in the morning. This is followed by practical hands on work shop all the rest of the day. Any theory work is done after the course is over in the student own time if you require IMA qualification. None of these comments make any sense to us and we have never had a student leave a review like this before. Her teacher is most distraught by this negative review.
