“I have had to organise a number of funerals and Cribs are the best funeral directors I have ever dealt with. They are professional, caring and cannot do enough to help you in a difficult time.
Firstly I’d like to comment on their customer service. It is fantastic, from the moment you contact them they take the pressure off. They listen to your requests and then take care of everything. John was so calm and helpful he organised everything we asked for and more. Dan and Ben were fantastic as was Catherine in the office.
Secondly I’d like to comment on the facilities. We used the chapel in Beckton for the service and also the hospitality room next door for the wake. We had people travelling from all over the country and this was a great option. The reception area, where you gather before the service, is beautiful with large leather sofas. The chapel is light, airy and modern. All musics request and webcam services were available. When the service was over we walked straight into the hospitality room. Tracey had organised the food and drinks. It was amazing, with poached salmon, home roasted beef, salads, fruit etc. everyone talked about the quality of food and service.
Thirdly I’d comment on the location. London is not the easiest place to drive around. The Beckton chapel is directly opposite a DLR station so people can come by train/ tube. There is also ample parking for those wanting to drive.
Fourthly I’d like to finally comment on the costs. They are very reasonable in pricing. I was expecting a far bigger bill.
In summary Crib are an amazing funeral directors who care, don’t over charge and help support families, whilst giving your loved one the best send off ever.”
“This was the 3rd time of using Cribbs and just when you think that nothing could improve on the previous funerals, along comes Marcus.
From phoning the night before my Brothers funeral to reassuring me thru a number of phone calls due to the horrific journey. Marcus walked me in on his arm leading the hearse to the crem. What a moving and beautiful touch. Marcus was so good and controlled the rather large gathering of friends and family. Revd Derek was superb, recommended by Dan Mayer. . “I am leaving this review because this is now the 3rd time in 28 years I have used Cribbs .I cannot thank them enough. The most recent time I used them was over the last 2 weeks ,the Dalston branch .Mary was our lady who took care of us .She was the most kind , gentle , open, honest, helpful , empathetic person to have around us at our time of grief , loss,shock. Mary made the whole process a gentle time .She never asked us to stop asking the many questions we had. Her hugs were needed and we felt so safe leaving our friend in her care .While we were waiting to go in to see him , she went to check on him and we heard her say Goodmorning to him , as if he was asleep . He looked so well and had been cared for so kindly .I have found this personal touch with all 3 funerals over the last 28 years with Cribbs .We also went to Beckton to sort out the orders of service , the 2 young ladies were so helpful and patient with us .No one was ever rushing us .We met Marcus who had done our other 2 funerals ,sadly wasn't able to do this one ,already been asked for again , but he still came to say hello to us .We had Toppy as our lead on the day .A wonderful balance of empathy , leadership and direction for us all , and gentle humour; much needed for us at the time as it was wonderful to hear laughter with us , Toppy and Mary , on a difficult day. We were put at ease and Mary and Toppy felt like part of the family and friends because of this.The orders of service were lovely , the staff let us choose everything we wanted and they sorted out our music we had chosen .These undertakers -Cribbs -are devoted to the people in their care - dead or alive .I know it is a vocation , not everyone could do their job . But I do hope they get the recognition they deserve .So that's the customer service ! The funeral was the price we had estimated .The quality of everything was perfect , no shardy offices , viewing rooms etc.All clean and fresh .Thankyou so much Mary and Toppy for making our journey peaceful and respectful.I hope we don't have to for a long time , but Cribbs are who we will always use.So please don't ever change yourselves . I want to say a massive thank you to both Denise and Bill at Debden branch, from the first phone call through to the day of my nieces celebration of life, and beyond Denise has been there every step of the way. Your compassion, kindness, empathy and hugs have been unmeasurable and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We also felt at peace in Cribbs, always made to feel welcomed, had all of our wishes met and generally couldn't have asked for more and we know our beloved Georgia was taken care off with the utmost dignity and respect.
