"I worked in Guatemala with Caras Alegres for almost 3 months and loved every minute of it. I worked in their development office focusing on women's and children\u2019s rights. I held a workshop on Period Poverty, and I completed a funding application that saw the charity awarded 40,000 US dollars. I went on multiple \u2018home visits\u2019 where I got to see the children in the community and meet their families. The staff at the charity were amazing and made me feel welcome from the very first day. As a bonus, I improved my Spanish and got to practice speaking every day! I arranged all of this through Rustom at Spanish Marks who was extremely supportive throughout the entire process and became a good friend during my time in Guatemala. I couldn\u2019t recommend this whole experience enough \u2013 it is amazing! "
