“I participated in one of the July 2016 classic Tour De Mt Blanc treks. It was FANTASTIC. Our guide, Simon, was knowledgeable and sparky. The accommodations were great throughout, and even though I ate everything in sight, I came back thinner than when I left! For the price point, I do not think this trip can be beat. I look forward to booking another trip with Salamander Adventures.”

“Our trip in July 2016 was excellent. The guides, Luke Emms and his wife had everything, food, accommodations and luggage logistics, well planned and it couldn’t have gone better. We had a really nice group to hike with. The scenery was phenomenal hiking through the high alpine terrain. One highlight on our day off was the gondola rides from Courmayeur Italy to the Aiguille du Midi, overlooking Chamonix, and back. This brought home the majesty of Mount Blanc and the grandeur of the hike around it. I would highly recommend Salamander Adventures.”

“I was on the August 17th Tour du Mont Blanc and it was absolutely great and thoroughly enjoyable in all aspects from start to finish. The transport from the airport was waiting for us on our arrival and our guide Susie Annam was waiting to greet us at the first hotel. The accommodation was good and the food plentiful in all the different levels of hotels and in the auberge that we staying in were excellent, a couple of the breakfasts were like feasts. The staff in the accommodation were all helpful. The organisation of the days had been well thought out, with morning stops at Refuges allowing for water bottles to be refilled, a timely break in the walk to savour for longer the wonderful, beautiful stunning scenery and also to have the a morning treat for those who wished to indulge. Susie our guide worked very hard in obtaining the provisions for our daily delicious picnic and fresh bread and providing the necessary practical equipment for the setting up of the picnics. Susie was knowledgeable about the routes and local areas we were in together with the flora and fauna, each day the pace that was set was well within the groups capabilities and we were consulted regularly about what was planned for the day and what we wanted to do. Susie was friendly and always very helpful and was able to recommend places to eat on the nights when food was not included. Overall the tour was well thought out and good value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending the company to anyone wishing to undertake the tour of mont blanc. Thank you to everyone who made my special holiday a great pleasure and wonderful memory. Wishing you continued success.”

“I thought this was a very good trip with the right kind of guide who could deal with different abilities so that everyone had a a good experience. I thought the hotels were excellent and the food good. I was lucky enough to have a single room so this did help to make it perfect. It was also a great group of people. We all got on very well. I would recommend Salamander. I was surprised that some people did not have a clear idea of the type of terrain or distance, or level of exertion required for such a trip, despite your very clear information, however, everyone managed to complete the tour and to enjoy it. Thanks must go also to your guide Luke Emms who made it possible for more experienced people to go on ahead and wait for the slower ones to catch up. Altogether a wonderful and memorable trip.”

“Tour de Mont Blanc, July 2016. We had a fantastic trek from start to finish. Our guide, Luke and his lovely wife Charlotte were excellent ambassadors for Salamander and we cannot fault either of them. Luke was very professional and made sure that everybody had a wonderful, safe holiday and enjoyed the trek. All the accommodation was better than expected and the food was excellent throughout. The organisation was perfect, we had an extra day at the beginning and two at the end in Chamonix all the transfers worked perfectly. Our fellow travellers were all great company and made the holiday so memorable. I cannot recommend Salamander highly enough - thank you all.”

“The Tour of Mont Blanc, guided by Susie, was an all round fabulous experience. The route and scenery were stunning, the hotels and auberge were clean and comfortable with good food, and our guide was well organised, professional and well informed. I would recommend this trip to any reasonably fit fell walker who didn't mind carrying overnight gear for a total of six days on the trip.”

“I booked my TMB tour with Salamander Adventures after reading some very positive online reviews. I did the TMB in July. I was travelling solo and joined a group of 13 people. The tour was very well organized right from the moment that I met my transportation from Geneva Airport. The tour guide was Simon--he was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable about everything Mont Blanc from geology to flora and fauna to customs and culture. The accomodations ranged from rustic to mid scale and provided much needed comfort at the end of a day of hiking. The scenic views and picnic lunches are memories I will cherish for years to come! “I did the Tour du Mont Blanc with Salamander in August 2016. My adventure was so epic, greater than I had imagined and planned for. Our guide, Luke, was outstanding, knowledgable and easily turned us into a coordinated group of hikers. All of the details were organized so we just had to take of putting one foot in front of the other each day! The accommodations were nice and the food fantastic. I'm now looking forward to future hiking adventures with Salamander!”

“Our group had a wonderful time on the Mt. Blanc trip. Our guides were excellent and lots of fun to be around. The choice of route and accommodations made for a super fun and beautiful adventure. The lunches we packed for the hikes each day were superb and the food along the way was exceptional. The tiny villages we visited and stayed in were quaint and just the kind of experience I was looking for in a tour of the Alps. our day off was planned perfectly and we took the tram to the top of the glacier and saw the most amazing views. Thank you Salamander Adventures for putting together such a wonderful vacation.”

“Recently returned from a guided tour of Mont Blanc. Highly recommend Salamander Tours. The trip itself was super. Guide was very professional, experienced, knowledgeable and also a nice caring person. The office personnel prior to the trip answered all my questions promptly. Arrangements on the tour from hotels to transfers were all great. Also felt the trip was priced fair. Size of group is good too. The trip itself is physically demanding. Requires one to be in good hiking shape. However that is needed to complete the TMB trek. A highly rewarding experience and I would do it again with Salamander Tours.”

“The Tour du Mont Blanc is certainly an awesome hike. We had a great group and Simon was a fantastic guide, his many years of experience helping us all. We experienced the full range of mountain weather from Summer heat to heavy fog & light rain to a snow storm!! Simon guided us well through it all and his knowledge of the local plants and animals was also great. I can recommend this hike to anyone who is fit and up for a challenging adventure - the rewards are well worth it! Jo (TMB 6-16 July 2016)”

“Tour Du Mont Blanc - end June 2016. - Spectacular scenary with incredible snow capped mountains, waterfalls and flower filled valleys. Amazing trip organised by Salamander Adventures. Welcoming and friendly customer service from first enquiry - excellent professional organisation of the trip - clear information in advance - excellent patient and helpful guide named Neil who took great care of us. Accomodation and food was great - all really exceeded our expectations and we would strongly recommend Salamander.”

“We had a great TMB. The accommodation was eclectic, ranging from 100 year old lodges to beautiful atmospheric mountain hotels which gave a glimpse of former splendour. All of it was clean and welcoming, the evening meals at least healthy and hearty, often much nicer. The hiking was tough at times and definitely requires a good standard of fitness, it should be remembered that this is a big old mountain! Having said that, our group of 12 contained all sorts of people, young and old(er) and with the help of our guide, we all made it around in various styles, culminating in a wonderful experience which left us all fitter at the end. Everything ran smoothly and I would definitely recommend Salamander to others. Neil the guide was great, managing the various personalities and fitness levels really well-the dry sense of humour entertained me no end. Loved it thank you.”
