“I'm sorry to say the following, but you asked. First the barrel-aged gin; this is delicious but what is the point of selling a gin that looks and tastes like whisky? There is no point. Then the sloe gin: this is nothing like traditional sloe gin. It has very little sloe content and thus almost no proper colour or flavour, something made worse by far too much sugar. True sloe gin is a rich ruby colour and tastes fruity but with some of the natural acidity and bitterness of the sloes. I'm afraid your version is mere pink sweetness with negligible sloe character. I sincerely wish I could have been more positive.”
“First of all I receive an email asking me to rate the Distillery before I have recieved the product, then i get an email from UPS asking me to pay an extra amount on the delivery charge. I then try to contact Porthilly but there is no telephone number on the site, the "contact us" icon takes me nowhere, the "chat" box leaves me waiting for 15 minutes - i am afraid I am not impressed so far, sorry and still don't have either the product or any way of contacting Porthilly which is very frustrating”
