“The product just leaks from the bottom, seal is not tight at all after multiple attempts at fixing.”

“Was really looking forward to using my Pippeta but sadly I’ve been left really disappointed. I was using a manual hand pump. So paid extra money for next day shipping. I have tried everything to get the pump working efficiently for me but it’s shocking. On my manual hand pump I can get 3 ozs off each breast in 15mins. After half an hr of wearing pippeta I’m lucky to get half an oz. I’m back to just using my hand pump and the pippeta has been boxed up. Complete waste of money.”

“I am so disappointed and upset with Pippeta and the breast pump I purchased. I was pumping daily to boost my supply using a Medela Electric pump, which was great but I wanted something portable. A friend recommended the Pippeta. I ordered the older version and was so excited when it arrived. After the first use I knew it wasn’t right, I had cuts on my areola and it made it sore to breastfeed after use. The power pack on top of the cup was also loose and had to be pushed down to get it to engage with the pump. It only yielded about 1/4 of the volume of milk my Medela pump does. I was very upset and contacted customer service who sent out a replacement cup and suggested a bigger flange. I tried again. I got a little more milk but still my areola were getting damaged even on the low settings. I would not use this product again, three days later and it is still uncomfortable to feed on that side. I contacted customer service but they were not willing to refund or exchange the product. In contrast Medela fixed a technical fault with my other pump in less that 24 hours offering an exchange or refund. For me this was a waste of £70+!”

“The pump worked great initially however after 2 short months the pump would not maintain its charge and therefore became unusable. Unfortunately I have received no response from customer service which is very disappointing. I would not recommend.”

“If you buy one they charge £1.90 postage if you buy 2 they charge almost £7! It’s cheaper to place 2 separate orders and pay postage twice which is ridiculous anyway!”

“I wanted to be able to leave a very positive review of this pump as initially it worked well for me. The first time I used the pump it was easy to put together, I got a fair few ounces and was happy with the functionality and having my hands free. Having a bit of a bigger bust I don’t think I could have been too active with it but it did stay in place. However, the second time I came to use the pump the suction had pretty much gone. I disassembled and reassembled many times and wasted a lot of hours trying to get the pump to work again but no joy. I got in touch with Pippeta and sent them videos and photos of the pump as requested but all they would say is that it looked like it was working fine! I wish I had just spent the extra on a more premium product now, I have had to buy another pump as this one just isn’t fit for purpose.”

“I had my baby on 27/07/2022. So started using it about 10 days ago for first few days it was working fine but today the machine won’t even come on the light comes on but there’s is no suction. Very disappointed”

“Purchased this recently and must say I wasted my money. Just a fiddle. Pump doesn’t such properly unless pushing against breast. Is not discrete at all pops out of top. Loud enough sound and the worst part is the electric part itself doesn’t click in properly. I did email pippeta however they wanted me to send a video over via email which just put me off”

“Milk spill ever time. Iv tried all the tips sent to me and still spill the seal is rubbish do not recommend slight moment and I loose all my milk down me.”

“Broke after 6 months of very light use. I have been using it as per the instructions and noticed that the mechanised part was starting to get loose and would occasionally fall off. Now it won’t stay on at all. I’m going to invest in an Elvie instead as I expect that it’s better quality.”

“Followed instructions, used product as stated several times and not even a drop of milk. Bought this based on reviews to be mobile while on my pumping journey. Would not buy again.”

“This pump is terrible and my milk leaked everywhere and over half of it was lost. Do not buy as they don’t accept returns so save your money and don’t risk it like I did.”

“I needed replacement cups, which are recommended to be changed every 6-8 weeks if you pump more than once a day!! I also found this to be quite pricey given its half the price of the entire pipetta including the electric pump! Every single time I now use the pump it leaks. I've been using it for months now so know how to use it. Completely fed up with needing to change my bra so often, I hardly use it any more. Had been planning to solely use this pump for and my upcoming holiday, will now need to purchase an entire new pump.”

Hi Krina, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with your pump. Please know that is not required to change the cup every 6 - 8 weeks. The parts that would require changing is only the valve and membrane and this would be dependant on how often you are pumping. The reason for this is over time these small silicone parts loose elasticity resulting in a lack of suction. One of team has tried to contact you so we can help you further. Thank you Aimee

“Pipetta doesn’t fit together easily. In my opinion isn’t ‘hands free’ - if You move the pump moves. Mine isn’t even a week old and already playing up.”

“Extremely disappointed with the pippeta breast pump. I have now used it 3 times and each time it has leaked badly while using it resulting in me loosing precious milk which was obviously Extremely upsetting. Breast milk is like liquid gold so the last thing you want is to loose any. Also when taking apart to decant the remaining milk into a bottle the design makes it very difficult to not spill more. Overall i am very disappointed with the pump. Not sure if its just a faulty pump or if this is what they are all like. Waste of £50.”

“Awful product stopped working after a few days. Kept trying with different maternity bras. Position was correct but no milk appeared in the collection. Contacted company for help with no response. I want a refund. Had to go back to my electric pump.”

“Was looking forward to trying but unfortunately I didn’t get to as the motor falls off the pump because the insert to keep it attatched to the milk collector is far too big. Waste of money”

Thank you for your review we are sorry that you are having problems with your pump. Please be reassured that this can be easily fixed. On the pump head you will see the circle where you click onto the cup around that circle you should notice an elastic ring, please could you replace this with the one in your bag. If the pump didn’t have a ring please also add one onto the pump. Should the pump still not attach we recommend adding both rings.
