“Disgusting, out of £380.00 tax rebate I received a cheque for £12.50. I spoke to HMRC who said go through them, and that I signed a document, strange that I did not. They are nothing but thieves and need to be stopped!!! Fuming is not the word.”

“If I could give no stars I would! Made an enquiry which apparently gives them authority to take my tax refunds for the past 5 years! Spoke to HMRC who said they have a legal document I have signed to authorise this!!! I have signed nothing but yet they've sent them my cheque for £128 to which I barely received nothing. I did the application for the refund myself online through government gateway but apparently that means nothing. Mortified, needed the money desperately!”

“A MAJOR CON Disgusting Service! Do not use this one man business. If I could give the option of minus stars I would have! I have been conned by this service, and tried to discuss my matter with Tony but he has now chosen to ignore my emails and refused to provide any proof of my contract. I was duped into signing a contract without my knowledge as I pressed the 'free estimate' tab, believing any information I was providing was for the estimate not for a contract. Tony claims he had sent me an confirmation of my contract to my email which he never did (this was not in my junk folder either). I had never received anything form this company when filling in my details so assumed it hadn't worked...few months after I get an cheque from them saying they claimed my tax for me and have taken a HUGE cut from it. I had overpayed my tax therefore they also claimed on this. Again they claimed this without my knowledge or confirmation of contract and refuse to pay me back. Tony is now ignoring my emails and also any legal correspondence I have provided. I will be filing a case with the police as well as he has committed fraud. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - it will be cheaper and easier to go directly through HMRC.”

“Sigh. Looks like I was caught out by these b*stards too. I thought it was a legitimate tax checking system for uniformed workers. They thieve 95% of your claim. I'll go cash my cheque for £1.80 now as they charge you extra if you don't....pure vultures.”

“What a shock when I got my tax rebate. This rip off company took almost all of my rebate. Please do not use this company it is criminal what they are doing. It should be against the law.”

“They took more than half my payment due back from HRMC in charges of extortionate fees do not use this company call HMRC yourself to claim, or there is another company on facebook Tax rebates that only takes £30 in fees.”

“used this company as i was not sure if i would qualify. I used there calculator and it said i would get back over 200 pounds so i used them. When i finally got a response(that i had to chase)hrmc advised they sent 40 cheques to tax rebates on the 4.4.20. I had to chase this up only to be told the below: We can advise that on 05/04/20 we received a payable order to the value of £40.75 from HM Revenue & Customs in respect of your claim. Unfortunately, you did not receive a payment from us as the amount refunded was not enough to cover our fees, as set out in the terms and conditions. The fee for this service at that time was 28% + £20, plus VAT, where due on any refund payment HMRC send us before passing payment on to you, subject to a net minimum refund of £20. In explanation, if the refund net of our charges and VAT is less than £20 we will make an additional supplementary charge up to but not exceeding £19.99, inclusive of VAT where due, to cover any amount below £20. This was stated in the text when you entered your claim, in the T&C section of the website, and in the email we sent to you. Be careful what your signing up to. They use the calculater to trick you into a higher amount. If it's not you don't recieved any money at all. And ITS YOURS!!!!. I WILL BE TAKING THIS UP LEGALLY. You should not take on anything unless you are certain that you will recieved a payout no matter how small it is. BE WARNED. ONLY USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE SURE YOU WILL GET A LARGE PAYOUT OTHERWISE YOU'LL RECIEVED AN EMAIL AS MINE AND THEY WILL STEAL ANY LITTLE AMOUNTS YOU ARE OWED.”

“Never heard of these before but they've somehow managed to charge me £49 for receiving a £55 cheque for MY tax back. Won't answer questions on any online platform. An absolute scam. HMRC are currently looking into my case but I won't hold my breathe”

“The company offers a paid for service of a % plus fee + VAT that HMRC will do for free. If you are entitled to claim the money back can just phone HMRC. The terms and conditions are clear that there is a charge but who reads them. They will earn more than me for the service and cancellation is not easy.”
