“Fast professional service. My laptop HDD had clearly suffered a mechanical failure, but all data was retrieved without trouble by MjM. I scanned the market and found many companies offering services, some clearly without the experience to carry out the repair - and offered very low rates, others were very highly priced and clearly wanted to leave the end costs open till they'd thought of all the extras. MjM did the job with a fair, fixed fee - no extra costs. Faster than expected and frankly I couldn't have wished for more. You pay your money and takes your choice, this time it was a correct decision!! Very Well Recommended.”

“Absolutely outstanding! The top rating of "Very Good" does not do justice to the truly excellent service provided by MJM. I lost a drive in my QNAP NAS which I had configured as RAID 5. The NAS reported the drive as failed and the RAID as degraded, so I followed the steps for what I thought would be a simple RAID rebuild. No such luck. Hours of support and remote access by QNAP engineers could not solve the problem and they admitted defeat. Days of attempts to rebuild using various commercial packages and still nothing. 3TB of irreplaceable family videos and videos over 6 years appeared to be lost. My family and I were utterly heart broken. I had been ripped off in the past by other data recovery companies and hours of googling confirmed that most companies offering data recovery were scanners, demanding payment first and then failing to deliver. Fortunately a colleague mentioned that he had read of MjM and passed me their details. Seeing the no up front charge policy, I reckoned I had nothing to lose, so packed up the 4 hdd's and posted them over to MjM. I had opted for the 7-21 day option, but within a day or 2 of the drives being dispatched I received a file listing from MjM, so I knew immediately that they had made more progress in 2 days than I had 200 days! The day after paying, the original drives, as well as a 4TB drive with the recovered data arrived back home - all carefully packaged. All of the data has been recovered - not only the original source files for the photos and videos, but also the directory structures and the aperture and iphoto library structures. I am still in the process of copying the 3TB back onto the RAID (10 hours in as I write) but from what I can see the recovery is 100% complete. If you've made it this far through my review, you may well be in the position which I was - lost data and extremely sceptical about the online reviews and websites which are nothing more than scams. You have probably spent hours reading fake reviews of data recovery companies - obviously written by the scam companies themselves. So, if you are wondering if this review is genuine, or whether the team at MjM know their stuff. Well - they do. I can vouch for it. If you are still sceptical, call MjM and ask for my contact details ( I am not going to post them here and get spammed ), and I will happily take a call to answer to verify this review. “We hotswapped a disk in a RAID 5 server and lost access to a large database. Mike and his team tried to rebuild the RAID which proved impossible and then spent a couple of weeks restoring it bit by bit. We were amazed that they were successful as we really weren't expecting to be able to recover anything. They even looked for the data in the priority order that we gave them and sent it back in two chunks so that we could get the most important files back to the users first.”
