"As I don't eat hay I refer to my 5 guinea pigs for an opinion....I didn't get a word from them as they were too busy eating it. ! The hay is fresh and virtually dust free. It smells sweet. I had one issue with the firm delivering it and The Little Hay Company dealt with it immediately and pleasantly. Not only is the quality high but the price is amazingly low. I highly recommend this company to anybody who is owned by a guinea pig."

"I've been getting my guinea pig's hay from The Little Hay Co for a good while now (a couple of years). I had previously been using another online hay company that also does a large range of forage and a few other items. I was finding that their quality was diminishing, and the price was increasing, seemingly with every order, and was just looking to shop around and see if there was any alternative. I came across TLHC when they only had a couple of choices of hay and the straw may even have been a new product. So I've very much been here as the company has grown. I still love the company and their products as much as I did the first time I ordered. I usually buy the Timothy hay blend, and sometimes another hay such as this time I got them the Cotswold Sweet Hay. I find that my piggies enjoy the change of hay every now and then. The pure Canadian Timothy is their favourite hay, but is too expensive for me to buy every time, so they usually just get some as a special treat. I really enjoy being able to buy the hays in very small portions to try. I usually get the 4kg bales as I find them easier to store, with their reduced size. But due to the swap over of hay seasons (I believe this is why they had some shortages), I got 2 boxes of 5kg loose hay. My pigs thought this was amazing when I was putting the hay into storage boxes, as it was going everywhere and raining on them! The straw bale lasts me for a very long time, as I use it to top wooden cat litter before putting some hay on, where the pigs do the majority of their wetting. We've also had some of their forage\/treats, which they also love. I find the delivery is always fast, and I've never had an issue with it. I think I once had a missing item, which was then sent out and arrived about the next day agter emailing, which I thought was great customer service. Although TLHC has grown, I don't find that they have upped the price, but dropped the quality unlike some. They seem ti genuinely care about our small animals and our experience as owners. I actually had to buy some emergency hay this last month until my pay went in so I could place an order. I went with the hay they used to have from the previous company, which is sold in some shops. I thought that my boys would absolutely love having this different hay, and the pigs I had before that only got this hay\/company's hay, would go bananas over this. However, my current 3 piggies could not have disliked it much more!! They eventually ate it enough that I wasn't worried about them, but the second I got my pay, I ordered them their normal hay. They were super happy when it arrived. This did serve to answer any doubts I had about if this was the best hay for them. I will definitely be shopping with The Little Hay Company for as long as they keep producing such quality hay! "
