I am sorry to hear of this for the first time. I can assure you that these are IP44 rated fittings, we have sold a large number of these fittings over the years and have to my knowledge never had any issues with liquid ingress. Some electricians get a little confused because they are expecting a plastic box that covers the entire back of the fitting, whereas these come with an IP box that covers the terminal block. As the cable entry is insulated this is still compliant with IP44 standards and British Standards.
