My son loves getting his belts - really engaging way to embed key skills.

Love it. Small section of practice makes it manageable even in the busiest day. Parental control allows tailoring the practices targeting on weak points and progressing whenever ready. Very neat design with no waste. This really helps concentration. The only thing that might be good to have as extra is some reasoning/problem solving practice too.

Komodo was excellent for my sons learning needs

Since my daughter started using Komodo, her confidence with numbers has increased visibly. Mathematics might still not be her most favorite subject but I can see her attempting to tackle the equations that make her brain hurt, more readily, on her own initiative and without asking for help right away.

Really well structured for developing fluency and confidence. I'd like to see a "pause" function in lessons.

I discovered Komodo by a friend's indication. The App experience started great by doing an assesment on my children's math's knowledge and proposing a journey throught maths! Both of my kids loved the App and what a surprise when we received the stickers of the belts in our home! It's really great to see the way that math's concepts comes up in the journey. This week my son achieved the Black Belt level! He was so happy with his achivement and everybody celebrated! The only down side is that the app is only available in english (not our mother language) and because of it in some level's (spoken numbers, problems, ...) become impossible to him. I sure recommend it, and hope someday it get translated to other languages (Brazilian Portuguese in our case)

Thanks for taking the time to leave your review Bruno. Well done to your son for earning his black belt and thanks for the feedback re languages.
Works across multiple devices, customized learning plans and self-paced lessons.

Thanks for your review :-)
It has helped our child to gain confidence in her own abilities. However, there should be more videos to explain each new stage.

Great to hear that Komodo has helped with your child's confidence! Thanks for your feedback Simon, I'll pass it on to our development team.
Brilliant! I originally signed up to this for my 10 year old who was strugggling with her maths, I’ve found it so useful I now use it for my 6 year old too. It has really helped my 10 year old and her progress has been recognised at school. My only criticism is that the lessons could do with being changed more often for younger children (4-7) as my child tends to lose interest after a few goes on the same thing.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We're glad Komodo has helped your children with their maths learning. I've passed your feedback on to our developers.
Well design app for kids to learn math. The internal email service is a great add as well for the parents to encourage the child and get the child to write.

The lessons are short enough to get through a few each time. My children were motivated to do more when they looked at their progress.

One thought would be to vary the messages you send the children. My daughter genuinely gets excited to receive messages from us parents but also from Komodo & she's always disappointed to get the same standard message from Komodo. I think it would encourage her more if she got different messages!

Hi Sarah, Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the Komodo messages are too samey. We're currently working on introducing more variety to these and the emails we send.
I love Komodo and my daughter does too. Its engaging and as long as you apply rewards they have something to look forward to.

Good but still finding the levels too easy - I know they are set at a level they can do so that they don't get demotivated, but feel they shouldn't still be getting a+ virtually every time!

Komodo is good for my daughter's maths. The motivation/reward side of it is excellent & she also enjoys receiving messages from family through Komodo. I have noticed a bit of a glitch recently, in that if my daughter misses out a few questions in a lesson the programme doesn't prompt her to do them. It marks her down on a lesson because of missing out questions, this then means she has to do more lessons before getting a stage shortcut. Thanks, kathryn

I think there should be more emphasis on time. My Granddaughter would like to be rated on time.

Komodo is great as it keeps my daughter's attention whilst I know she is learning. Excellent format of the lessons, my daughter always tries to beat the time which is great at getting her to answer questions faster : )

My kid is 5 yrs with good mastery of math. Doing Komodo is boring for him because the time given 10 minutes for 20/12 questions which doesn't challenge him. He likes to beat the time like a game, but Komodo doesn't offer that. Overall used time for him to complete a level is 1-2 minutes. Besides, Komodo doesn't let him choose his level and I don't really think Komodo has assigned a trainer for my son because even he did the assessment test, and he was exceptionally excellent, he still has to answer 1+2. I personally think that it shouldn't have been that way. He has mastered times 9 and still he needs to answer 1+2. That's the reason I think that the assessment was of no use. Any how, thank you for the trial. Still enjoyed it for first few levels. Thanks.

Thanks for the review. It's rare that 5 year olds have already mastered up to 9 times tables. Sorry that we may not have picked this up when I assigned the learning plan - we're always happy to reassign when asked. The lesson timing can be changed via the settings you can also choose your own levels to complete. I will send you an email explaining how to do this.
Need to be supplied with more explanation on the subject ,like reading material ,which can be printed ,Also educational games to make children more interested on the subject they learn .
