About Kidvelo Bikes:

Kidvelo® Bikes is an exciting new brand launched in 2021, specialising in manufacturing kids' balance bikes, some which convert to lightweight pedal bikes. The founders are from two family businesses; the former official Strider Distributors, based in Australia and the UK. We had clear ideas born from 14 years of teaching children to ride, distributing thousands of balance bikes and listening to customers.

“We love our Rookie 12! Excellent quality bike, which can be adjusted as your little one grows. My little girl gets so excited when we get it out and sits on it straight away. The bike is incredibly lightweight but sturdy which is fantastic.”

“A Revelation! I work as a cycle instructor delivering Bikeability, Learn to Ride and led rides in the Town Park. I'm also the British Cycling Go-Ride lead at my cycling club. The club has been using a Rookie 12 to help keep younger siblings happy while brothers and sisters attend our sessions. The bike has been amazing, a revelation in fact. First of all, it's incredibly light, something that everyone comments upon. In fact, when the bike arrived we wondered if the box was empty! The steering has proper bearings, as do the hubs, so everything runs really freely. The MTB type handlebar stem is adjustable and the handlebars are shaped so that the reach can be tailored to the rider. The tyres are proper 12" pneumatic with Schrader (car type) valves and the relatively smooth tread pattern means there's the perfect combination of low rolling resistance and grip. There's a choice of 4 colours, but we have the bright green. You certainly can't miss it! I've come across lots of balance bikes, but this one stands way above anything else I've seen. You may find some of the features on other bikes, but the Rookie 12 has them all in a brilliantly designed combination. Buy quality, your kids will thank you for it!”

“I don’t normally leave reviews, but I’m so impressed with our recent purchase of a Kidvelo balance bike that I thought this product was worthy of one. My daughter has recently turned two and she wanted a bike just like her big brother, however we were concerned that she was still too small for a conventional bike. We started searching and came across balance bikes. We thought this would be a good starting point for her as both feet can still touch the floor whilst using it and it should also be much safer in terms of any falls or getting injured. After plenty of research we came across the Kidvelo bikes website and we loved the design and bright colours of their Rookie 12 model. We ordered the item and it arrived promptly. Everything came in the same box which included the tools needed to put the bike together. I’m normally pretty rubbish at DIY tasks but the instructions were straight forward to follow, and it literally took me no longer than 10 minutes to assemble. The first thing we noticed was the build quality of the product. It’s well made and really sturdy when put together. The black wheels and tyres look great and my little one loves the bright pink colour! She has had the bike for a few weeks now and is getting on with it great. Her confidence has improved no end in this time and she scoots round everywhere on it now. I think this is a great introduction to bikes for little ones and when she is big enough for a pedal bike, she should have no issues with the transition. I only wish I’d have known about this bike sooner as I would have bought one for my son, who seems to enjoy going on his little sisters bike more than his own! Thanks to all at Kidvelo for making a little girl really happy!”

“My 3 year old loves his Kidvelo Rookie 12. This is his 1st balance bike and he's taken to it like a duck to water. He is so confident with it and obviously feels safe. The bike is very fairly priced, it was delivered quickly, its lightweight, easy to put together, and the quality is fantastic. My little one loves the chunky wheels and the bell too. I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone who is looking for their child's first bike.”

“I can't recommend Kidvelo enough. Both product and customer service are outstanding. Karen was really quick to respond to my queries and when the bike arrived it was so easy to assemble my 8year old did it. In comparison to her old balance bike all components were superior and the light weight is phenomenal. It glides effortlessly on all surfaces, and the tyres offer excellent grip and suspension. My riders cofidence and ability has excelled massivly using the Kidvelo. If you're looking for a great quality, no fuss bike that will stand the test of time look no further than Kidvelo.”

“We bought a Strider balance bike for our 3 year old daughter in December 2019 and she absolutely loves it. Whilst she didn’t get much use out of it over the winter months, she’s more than making up for it now and her confidence with being able to balance for long periods is improving day by day. She gets quite a lot of attention from other passers by too due to the cool styling of the bike in bright pink!”

“Just fantastic! It puts a smile on all our faces! Started walking round the house on it on his sexond birthday, and now at 3.5 he's zooming around the village and I have to jog to keep up! Keeps extending so we'll probably wait until he's super ready for a birthday bike at 4 but he'd probably swap across easily too now, the balance is there already :)”

“I bought this as a 2nd birthday present for my niece. Much to my surprise, she climbed straight on and set off pushing herself around the room! Easy to assemble, looks fantastic, feels sturdy while still being light enough for a (small) two-year-old to manoeuvre. A great product.”

“I got a Strider for my son's 2nd birthday because it was one of only a few balance bikes small enough for him to use at this age (he is 50th percentile in height). It is a brilliant bike and my son learned to ride it within days and loves taking it out for a spin almost every day. Now at age 2.5 he is getting ready to move to his first pedal bike but he still loves riding his balance bike as well. Really recommend this product.”

“The bike looks great, it hasn't been tested yet as it's a Christmas gift. Only complaint is that it was delivered in a box that displayed what it was so christmas was 30 seconds from being ruined!”
