“We ordered several pairs of curtains: Material - Astrid Ink Lining - Ivory cotton sateen thermal Eyelets We would say Measurement accuracy: "10 out of 10" Quality of workmanship: "8 out of 10" not 10 because we needed accurate eyelet placement - and there was a variation of about 4mm in material height above the eyelet in one set of curtains. We also ordered another set of curtains in a different material, which were delivered with the wrong set of linings. The after sale customer service was excellent, with the curtains being collected from us by courier and then returned with the correct lining within a week.”

“I havnt put them up yet but looking at them made very good..one disappointment was I paid extra for the pencil pleating to be drawn up as I am not good at that I had to even a few after all myself...when I put blind and curtains up will send picture...thank you.”

“I was very pleased to know that I could buy material to do my sewing myself and not have to buy curtains. The material I chose arrived safely and I am very pleased with the pattern and colour. I will use the company again should I have any further need to material. JW”

“I got some cushion covers made - they were the correct size and material, and the workmanship was good quality. They arrived within the stated timeframe. The only thing that wasn't good was that the zip openings were a bit small, so it was very difficult to squeeze the cushions into the covers. I managed it in the end, and the actual fit is perfect, but it would be better if the zip reached the full width of the cushion.”

“The curtains and blind are lovely, however I am very disappointed that the cushions and lamp shade have not arrived! I paid a lot of money and don’t expect half my order!”

“Arrived in good time. Curtains well made. Could have done with been pressed before being delivered. Not sure about nylon thread on header tape as when gathered in pleats shows daylight. However, very minor, pleated with curtains overall.”

“Curtains are good quality and perfect fit. A bit disappointed with the tie backs as they are too big for the curtains. Have to wrap them round twice. Would expect the tie backs to be size proportionate to the made to measure curtains.”

“The curtains and blinds and poles were all of a very high standard. The were beautifully packed and arrived when they were promised. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to lack of advice about measuring of the blinds. There is a page deeply buried on their website with advice. We did not see that until it was too late. But on the actual form you fill out, there should be a reminder to deduct 10 cm for the overall width of the blind. We did not and it took my husband the entire weekend to get the blinds to fit. It was an ordeal! It would be so helpful to repeat that advice on the order form where everyone wpuld clearly see it.”

We love your choice of "Avalon Candyfloss" by Ashley Wide for your made to measure Curtains and Roman Blind. I'm sorry, you did not see the notes giving you guidance on measuring for Roman Blinds, they are located at the bottom of the page, along with all the other measuring and fitting guides we have. We recommend that all customers use them, To familiarise themselves with what measurements we need, before they order their made to measure curtains/blinds. If anyone is unsure on what measurements are needed? Please read the guides located at the bottom right hand side of our webpage, next to our contact details. There are useful gudidence videos to watch too. This is what we say on Measuring and fitting Roman blinds:- "Correctly measured and fitted roman blinds can give your room a lovely contemporary finish, and our expert video guide will show you how to complete this process step by step. Note: If you are fitting your roman blinds inside of the window recess, we recommend that your wall to wall width measurement is taken from the top and bottom of the window (as they can sometimes differ), and deduct 1cm from the smallest width." ****PLEASE DO NOT DEDUCT 10CM**** I think this is a typo by Susan. If you had of got in touch with us, we could of helped, and made the blind smaller for you. I'm sorry your poor husband had his whole weekend taken up. We will take your comments on board, and hope this will not put you off using our made to measure service again. I hope that your curtains and roman blind all look great in situ at home with you. “Easy to order, OK turn around time wise. Slightly disappointed they are quite rigid when hanging and the cream background is not very rich. But generally good.”

Hi Bryony Thank you for your Review, of our Made to Measure Curtain service. I'm glad you were happy with the turn around service. Your choice of fabric "Foxy" is such a cute design by Fryetts. I'm sorry to hear that your slightly disappointed with the rigidity of the hanging curtains. The lining you chose is the our best seller, and most recommended. You will find in time, they will soften with use, and in house conditions of heat and cold. The cream background of the fabric can sometimes differ from the picture online, to the fabric in the flesh. Sometimes it helps if you order a sample before hand to make sure its what you want? “The very happy with the curtains blind and pole so far there we haven't put them up yet not so happen happy with the cushions which we thought should have had bigger fillers in and also I asked for the duck egg ones to be piped and they weren't”

Hi Phil Thank you for your 4 star review of Curtains Made for Free. Your choice of fabric "Etta Mallow" by Villa Nova has a retro feel to it, and was nice to work with. Hope you got them all hung, and they look great? We will look into the problem with the feather filled cushion fillers, these are something that we don't make in house, we will ask our supplier if they have changed there supplier? But thank you for your feedback. Regarding your Duckegg cushions, not having piping, I have checked your order, and there was no mention of piping on there? so I'm not sure what happened there? but if you would like to get in touch we will be happy to sort out any issues, you may have. “Was slightly worried about ordering curtains online as I usually make my own but overall we were pleased with the end rest. Ont of the curtain hems hasn’t been sewn up in the middle which isn’t a problem for me to fix but may be an issue for some people as the hem will drop down if it isn’t stitched up.”
