“Sanctuary carport 4.0m (p) x 5.3m (w) Ordered online & carport kit was delivered by C&A's own vehicle in the given timeslot. The kit is very comprehensive & includes all drill bits & fixings , rivet gun, sealant etc. Installation guide is very clear & it was fairly straightforward to build even though I had to cut mine down to fit the width of my driveway. Once fully built it feels incredibly sturdy. Definitely would recommend.”

“I bought two sheets of 2mm polycarbonate sheets for two Victorian windows as secondary glazing. They were take the price of anywhere else so payback time is halved! I bought them online for collection at Bidder St but the system somehow ended up in Main branch in Kent. After an immediate phone call the sheets were sent to Bidder St and I got an email to confirm their arrival (ahead of schedule) so I made up cardboard protectors cut to the window size (and bungees) and made my way from Lewisham via the DLR. On arrival the desk guy was very friendly and offered to cut the sheets (as I would have done on the floor using the cardboard templates). This saved me a lot of time and Stanley knife effort! Thanks! It was only one 750mm cut. I wrapped up the more manageable sheets with the offcuts and made my way back no problem via the dlr with my valuable cargo. They fitted perfectly in the window frames and now our kitchen has many less draughts and is decidedly warmer! Thanks again! Mike This has always been my goto place for years to secondary glaze all my house windows.”

“Corrugated sheets cut poorly; massive chips, chunk on edges, not cut square and having ordered 8 sheets, none of them where the same length. Stickers on the sheets where ridiculously difficult to remove; the glue residue left behinds is unpleasant. I would suggest you do not apply these stickers. Disappointed. Dissatisfied.”

Hi Thank you for the feedback. We will pass this on to the manufacturers, and we have suggested this to them previously in regards to the stickers. These thinner grade 0.8mm are infact the same ones found in most of the country as the manufacturer has a virtual monopoly on the supply and is something that is common across all the 0.8mm PVC corrugated in the UK. The product does still win hands down on being the cheapest way for roofing, but may also be why there has been a rise in popularity of the stronger polycarbonate corrugated sheets in both the trade and DIY markets. “The corrugated sheets are very good quality, they are much thicker and stronger than the ones you can get in the diy chains. The old ones had been up many years and discoloured, the new C & A ones are so bright and let the sunshine in. The delivery driver placed them inside as requested. Also the team that manages the delivery are very helpful. Overall very good. My only mistake was to read all the instructions early on but not make notes. On the day of the install i had to carry out some research trying to find the install docs. All online of course.”

“Been using C&A since the 90s and due to a load of snow coming off the roof had to rebuild, insurance payout low, but with C&A I was able do do bigger and better and a log burner to boot, now used all the year round plus warm and cozy Snug. Now I'm looking to build for others as had a few neighbours asking due to them saving on a bit of heating, not due to the fire but still the warmest room in winter as little sun warms it nicely.”

“The corrugated plastic sheets that I installed on my elderly sisters roof 5 years ago have turned black and unsightly while letting very little light in , I’ve now got to replace them and at 73 and now living 100 miles from her it’s a real pain. Although fitted 5 years ago the discolouration started quite a while back, was they in a faulty batch or can I expect the replacements to go the same ?”

Hi Thank you for the review, from looking at the photo it would appear that these sheets are on an enclosed structure who no ventilation around the sheets. Looking as if these have been used on a conservatory style building lean too it would also appear that there are either blinds or insulation under the sheet's, or in extreme case's it could be that the room is not ventilated adequately. In effect these sheets have been baked and so the ageing process is then rapidly accelerated from them not being used in their servicable. and as with a cake analagy if it is exposed to temperatures much grater than the designed servicability the do bake and change colour. Given you are unlikely going to wish to change the use of this room significantly, it would not be recommended to use PVC corrugated for this type of enclosed application. Yours C&A Building Products
