David, please email me for a refund. Not many sites offer to do that. lob@yourasms.com Summer can be a difficult time and not all our books sell. But we are happy to refund anyone who it didn't work for.

“It seems you have got some money out of me with false pretenses. You gave me to understand you would help me to publicise my book and sell a few copies. But instead of that you are trying to sell me other people's books, and have not given me any practical help at all.”

“The twitter blast and purported traffic resulted in no book sales at all. It could be that my book page is absolutely terrible. It could be that the traffic didn't happen. It could be that the vast number of twitter followers are book sellers not buyers. I can't say conclusively, but the fact is I got zero result from the experiment and have chalked the lost outlay up to experience... that twitter doesn't work for cold selling books.”

“So far, I have not had one sale directly tied to the tweets by your group. As far as the BooksGoSocial website, the time I am allowed on there is so limited, it is of very little value. Instead, I am on twenty-three other related writer/reader FB pages where I receive far, far greater response. The money I have spent has not been worth what I have gotten out of BooksGoSocial. I am deleting and blocking all relating posts from BooksGoSocial.”

We refunded Diana within 24hrs. In full. Her book was a weight loss/fitness book, which we don't do well promoting. We have self help and a lot of other non fiction books, but weight loss & dieting are genres we stay away from.

I am sorry you were disappointed, but this does not work for all types of books. Your book trailer money will also be returned, though we will ask you not to use the trailer any further. Byddi, I am sorry you were disappointed. We genuinely have a lot of happy clients. At any time you want in the future, for this, or another book, we will run your promotion again. I also hope you can consider the other aspects of our service, the emails we send out to readers every month, the Facebook promotions, the genre trailers we promote, free, the advice we give. I hope you will engage with those other aspects of our service and not see this as simply a Twitter promotion, because you will be missing out on a lot if you miss out on these real opportunities to promote your book for 12 months from the day you signed up. Mark, I am sorry you were disappointed. We do email you every month on the 5th with a list of suggestions for you to get extra free promotions from us each month. We need you to fill in the forms in those emails to tell us what you want us to promote each month. I am offering my email here: lob@yourasms.com if you haven't been receiving our emails on the 5th. “The follow through by this company is poor at best. They make promises, but then don't come through. They also change the rules for their promotions to be more difficult for authors to use. Don't waste your money.”

Nick, Thanks for your comments. I don't remember saying we were only horror, but if we weren't clear about having a range of genres, I apologise. We are offering free promotions through Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and by email over the next year, which I hope you will take up. Twitter doesn't work for everybody, but we do have other options, which deliver potential readers to your book. I hope these services will help. Laurence O'Bryan

“I would never consider or recommend this service after having used it. I suspect the majority of "followers" are actually authors who paid for the service and thus not a market for books.”
