“My previous reviews have all been 5*. This 4* rating applies only to my most recent purchase, the Micro Selection, where the black foam head pillars on the Sparkle Arsed Indicator Gnats were tied over the eye, making it impossible to thread the tippet through the eye. Otherwise, excellent as usual, and thanks for the extra 2 sample flies (and the popping candy - daft, but delicious!)”

Hi David. Please let us replace the flies which have the thread over the eyes, they must have escaped our QA checks. I will check our others now. Thanks for the review. Richard

“A quick efficient and cost effective service which delivers patterns that I ( and the trout seemingly) like, and which are nicely tied with good quality materials. The free box is always useful and keeps the flies in good condition through the apparent rigours of royal mail delivery!”

“I have rated BFL 5 out of 5 for an excellent "specialist service". I receive updates on flies just prepared for the forthcoming season and providing you order promptly they arrive first class post within a couple of days (in the UK). Do they work? - Yes.”

“I have purchased a number of sets of flies from Richard and his colleagues, mainly because they catch fish. Last year their jingler accounted for 80%+ of my fish and so far this year the nymphs have been doing the trick. Great delivery and the quality of the flies is first class, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Keep it up guys.”

“excellent service, well tied flies, have yet to try them. Barbless flies fill a gap offering flies tied with a hook designed for the Job for the Modern Catch and Release Fly Fisher, rather than de-barbing a standard hook and expecting the same result.”

“I have been fly fishing for a number of years and never used barbless flies, I have read that they are better for the fish, better than crushing a barb and filing it! There are only a few websites which I have found which do Barbless Flies, I will be eventually be binning my crushed and filed flies. Barbless Flies Limited have a lovely selection of flies which should cover me for my fishing holiday in the Lake District next week, they are well made and I look forward in using them. I have not got time to sit down and tie my own flies, so I will be using Barbless Flies Limited again. Thank you Richard.”

“Very good service - ordered the flies on Friday and received them the following day. As a beginner I requested information on how to use them which was very promptly received from Richard as to how to best use them. Thanks very much - will definitely be using Barbless Flies again”
