Called for an emergency gas engineer as carbon monoxide alarm went off. Advised callout charge was £49. Engineer came within an hour. Checked everything out and advised no leak. Changed batteries and then rang company to let them know job completed. He was here for about 30 minutes. Company told me charge would be £350. I told them that was exorbitant. Eventually they agreed to £200 but engineer felt that was still too much as he would only have charged £50 plus callout charge. The company kept ringing me and pressurising me. I'm an OAP. I WOULD NEVER use this company again and can't actually find them on the Companies House register.

They are doing well with taking people for a ride. Call out charge is reasonable at £49 but no indication of charges beyond that and in an emergency one goes ahead with it. 15 minutes later, the charge is quoted at £349! Inspection Fee £40.00 Diagnostic Charges £80.00 Labor Charges £180 Having paid I remembered that their website says order now and get 20% off. After sending 4 emails with no replies I am writing as many reviews as possible to warn people off.

Make sure you have an idea of cost before you confirm callout, pretty much a blank cheque to charge what they want, extortionate, £439 for a callout and an hours work, absolute joke!!!

Total rip off. £49 to come round, fair enough. I supplied the part guy spent 20 minutes fitting it. £199 Would not give any sort of estimate on the phone then exploited us being in desperate situation. Do not use these people if possible.

There was a lady on the phone who told me the call-out fee would be £49–£50. Then at the end, the same lady charged me £369. I honestly don’t understand how she could even decide that price when she wasn’t here and had no idea what work was actually done. It made the whole thing feel completely off from the start. One of the most infuriating experiences I’ve ever had with any service company. The engineer was here for about 10 minutes and basically just flicked a switch, and then suddenly I’m hit with a £369 bill. Absolutely ridiculous. I asked for a receipt or a breakdown of the charges, and I was told I’d only get it after paying. Well, I paid and I still haven’t received anything. No receipt, no breakdown, nothing. The whole situation felt extremely dodgy and totally lacking transparency. If I had known the real price beforehand, there is no chance I would have used this company. From beginning to end it felt like a complete rip-off. If you’re thinking of calling them, don’t unless you’re prepared for surprise charges and zero explanation.

The engineer nor the company provided me with an estimate for the job. To my shocking surprise I was charged a whopping £348 for a 45 mins work which involved putting parts for £5.00. I was unaware of their exorbitant charges for 30 mins. If i was provided an estimate I would have paid the call out only. I have a feeling this company might have ripped of others too. No complaints on the engineer's work tho! Very disappointed and feel that I am being robbed.

This was by far my worst experience with a company. Fast Gas Plumbing was recommended to me to check a leak in my boiler tank. Before their arrival, I explained over the phone that the leak was coming from beneath the tank, expecting that they’d come prepared to fix it. Instead, they spent 10 minutes just messing around my tank and restating the issue I had already identified. No repair was made, yet they still asked for £229. I would strongly advise avoiding this company.

Needed a new toilet cistern connected to the mains with a flexi hose and a installation valve. Plumber was in the house for 15 minutes. Was told £49 call out charge. He rang the company back , told them that the job was complete. Had to pay £5 for valve and £250 for labour. Bill was £304 !

I urge not to use this company. Emergency call-out for a burst pipe: 1hr 15 min job cost £500. Expected to pay heavily for a emergency call out but this is severe over charging. They base the charge on the "difficulty of the job" but cannot show any evidence of a charging scale for difficult or non difficult jobs. You enter this not knowing what you will pay at the end of the job so buyer beware.
