“This is a card-based dungeon crawler with lovely spooky black and white artwork. It is quick to set up and quick to learn. Also quick to play, although I have yet to be in a group that manages it in the promised half an hour. It has an app but I found it confusing and it seems every play may need to but it. Instead, we managed with online players by taking pics of the cards as we went.”

“A narrative dice rolling adventure with good quality components. The art on the cards is stunning and the dice are suitably chunky. Clear rules and easy to learn. A very atmospheric game and if you were a fan of the old fighting fantasy books you'll be filled with nostalgia. Suffice to say we didn't escape the dark castle and we can't wait to try again.”

“Great little game. Easy to set up, quick to play. Very atmospheric! My only point of critique: there are not a lot of tactical possibilities, so for the most part the dice might just as well roll themselves... For that reason: If you only get one of the 2 Escape the Dark games, maybe go with Escape the Dark Sector. But both are worth having!”
