What a game, great with friends but also fantastic solo with the app. Great service again from Zatu would highly recommend.

Fantasy Flight seem to have a reputation for quite high priced games and having empty boxes. Journeys in Middle Earth doesn't wade from that reputation. At £70, I expected something in line with a storage solution but there is nothing. The minis are in two plastic bags that you need to tear in order to open (Not even a ziplock bag), the card board components that you need to pop out have nowhere to go... So you end up with the minis, the tokens and the cards scattered all over inside the box. Very very poor in my opinion. In terms of quality and artwork, they're fine. Minis look good, though perhaps a little bland, and the quality on the cards / tokens is acceptable if not spectacular. Just standard cardboard tokens. The artwork on the cards is the best part by a mile. Can't review the game play mind as I've not tabled the game, but those are my first impressions of the out of the box components.

Excellent game, tough and challenging though. Really captures the feel of an epic quest in middle earth. Choose a team of 2-5 characters such as Aragorn, Bilbo, Gimli and Legolas and play cooperatively against the game. You need to download the app which might about some people but it dues a great job of delivering the story, operating enemy groups and laying out the scenarios which take place over either large sprawling landscapes or small skirmishes. We have up or first run as we were doing so badly, but tweaked which characters we used and focused more on the infectives we were given and are having a much more successful second run! Dripping with theme, challenging co-op!
