“A perfect example of a hybrid game. The combination of the auction, to gain the favour of the gods (and so to determine what actions you have), and then the area control/war game strategy aspect work brilliantly together. Easy to learn but a great deal of depth and replayability.”

“I had spent a long time looking for a board game involving Greek myths. As someone who is not a very experienced board gamer the setup with cyclades was easy and straight forward. The mechanics are easy to folloe but also unpredictable meaning no one game is the same. Works well as a 2 player game, but can also be played solo. The only critique is that it might have been nice to have some more mythic elements incorporated but I understand some of this is added in the expansions especially in the Hades addition, although this appears to be out of print. Finally compliments to Zatu for fantastic service, delivery as always was prompt.”
