Quacks of Quedlingburg is a great push-your-luck bagbuilder, where players are competing to make the best potions at the in-game, nine day festival of quackiness! Will you play it safe and stop early, possibly losing out on a bonus, or will you risk it all? If you keep drawing for too long your pot may blow up and you won't be able to both score and buy! What avenue will you persue? Only you can decide!

Great game played a few times now. The art makes it look a bit less friendly to non gamers.

Addicting and easy to grasp. Takes no more than an hour and has a great risk-reward game mechanic. Plus a catch-up mechanic to keep things interesting.

This is a push your luck game with a bit more about it than your typical dice chucker. You are over the course of the game building yourself a more and more powerful bag containing chits with increasing special abilities and movement points to try to get yourself a higher score each round. As the game progresses, you will draw a chit from your bag and place it into your cauldron. Beware the white chits though, get too many of these and your cauldron will explode and your round is over, hang your head in shame. But never fear, there will be *some* benefit to you, you can still buy a new chit or get some points, but if you hadn't pushed your luck so far you would have gained both!

A simple but fun game which is great as it is, but also great as a way to start people towards more complex games. There's good variety in the base game so no two games are alike, and then there's more if you pick up the expansions.

Another great entry level game, but one that appeals to pretty much every board game player that I've ever met, new or experienced. A push your luck style game of making potions and hoping they don't explode. It's tactile, funny, and has great 'No way!' moments. It works great as a family game too, and is very accessible to all ages.
