Great product, finish on matte black is very handsome. Only issue is that it would be perfect with a tool less micro adjust. However the number of holes provides plenty of room to adjust.

High quality buckle, presented in a suspension case which means it can not reach you in anything other perfect condition.

Very pleased with my Hydrolock and Tsunami strap. Always hated the flappy part of a traditional strap from the 6 oclock side of the watch. This particular Seiko comes with a metal keeper which doesn't stay put either. This Takes care of all of that while keeping the watch looking as close to original as it can.

The clasp much better than the last stamped version. I did think it would have more weight to it though, which makes it feel cheaper.

A great clasp. Not too bulky. Better than the Breitling version, in my opinion.

The quality and design of the mk2 buckle is leagues above the mk1. The primary complaint I had about the mk1 was the lack of a push button deployment. This iteration has solved that complaint beautifully. The deployment is easy, and holds confidently without the wiggle one might feel from lesser buckles. All the better that it's offered in multiple finishes - the matte black looks incredible with the black tropic. My biggest (arguably only) problem with the new iteration is that it is several mm shorter than the original clasp. Typically that wouldn't be much of a problem, but with a cut-to-size strap, my strap is just a tad too tight for me with the mk2 buckle. It will do in a pinch, but not without a pinch. I've swapped back to the original for the time being but I wish more thought had gone into customer experience for those who had purchased previously.
