We do use really soft bristles for our children's toothbrushes, and we are so happy your little one loves his toothbrush! Even though our toothbrushes are quite tough, we do not fuse the bristles into the handle (this is how they are attached on a plastic toothbrush) as they need to be removable in order to recycle. Therefore we do recommend that chewing is kept to a minimum!
