“As with many Fibaro modules (my manufacturer of choice for embedded switches), these units work well and are a joy to install. Although other people on here have found it hard to include, I actually found the process quite easy (with HomeSeer).
My only gripe is that I just cannot get it to report a change in instantaneous energy usage. Instead, I have to poll this device regularly to get an indication as to whether the attached device is drawing current or not. I've tried just about everything to get this auto-reporting, but I just cannot get it working. It *MAY* be due to the fact that I'm typically driving low-energy LED lamps with this, and the change between 0 and 5W is not enough for it to auto-report. But I don't see that limitation listed anywhere, despite making it as sensitive as possible to changes in load.
Considering I upgraded from the first gen or products from Fibaro to this, I was a little disappointed that I didn't gain my automatic power usage reports. I can work round it using polling, but that keeps my Z-wave network busier than it should be, all the time.”
