“FCoV - 23 is a feline corona virus, actually a new type of corona virus that causes FIP as well. It is investigated by Danielle Gunn - Moore who is a feline vet. She decided to become a vet for cats when she was nine and was a resident of Northern Ireland at the time. The veterinary medicine of felines is slightly different than usually considered as there are many medics who are trained to work with small animals or companion animals but do not know how specific or delicate cats actually are.
Danielle G. M. is a professor in Edinburgh and works with three pH.D students as an investigator of significant changes in feline corona virus and the number of cats getting ill. The age of cats is also important for those who work with her or do investigations on their own. Two of the professors she worked with and were the first feline professors in veterinary field are now retired. When she was younger the attitude to cats was not so encouraging, people who were owners of cats were often associated with witchcraft.
Alongside the virus topics and the spreading of FIP which is going on in Greece, Cyprus.., it was also significant to know that dermatology of all species must be understood as a very evolving and important field or area of work.”
