“Ok, well, I'm a bit of a stationery tragic, and love nice diaries and notebooks. I've used Moleskines, the CIAK Duo, and numerous others, and I'm finally happy with this look and set- up. Lovely, soft, fragrant leather, an old-fashioned, quirky style with the elastic system and the ability to craft the TN to your liking makes it a winner in my book. Not cheap, but it's an up front cost and then you just get the refills, so maybe cheaper in the long run. The paper is very nice to write on and I use a black fountain pen, and have found that there's no bleed to the other side. It's a little weird and tricky with the elastics at first, but then I watched a video and saw that each with refill you can slip the outer part of the elastic over the existing refill so make the new one fit sugly. I also got a pen holder and kraft file to make the whole thing pretty modular. Great that The Journal Shop stocks all the refills and accessories, and the speed of delivery was much quicker than Book Depositoy!! And free if spending over 50 pounds. Just wipe off the white powder whe you 'unveil' the TN and read the little note and you'll soon be dreaming of canoeing up the Zambesi or Amazon !!”

“After having received it I must say it has a charm that is irresistible, only once you get to hold your own in your hands and feel it and experience it do you understand how perfect this notebook is. It is like unpacking a new friend and discovering a companion for life. The feeling, the look, the smell, the functionality, all of it joins together in great balance making a most wonderful and beautiful notebook! I can only recommend this to anyone who loves writing and is looking for something a bit more special, especially if it is with the thought in mind to finding a companion for life in the matter, one that can age with experience and that needs not be replaced when it's pages are full but can be donned a new white dress of sheets at any time:)”
