“I've been taking daily Tadalafil for nine months, and it seemed a good time to collect and collate my thoughts and provide an update. Basically it is quite remarkable.
To recap, last autumn we were on holiday having a relaxing time. We had intercourse one morning and again the following morning. On the third day there was very little response. This troubled me for the rest of the week. I went to see a GP, discussed the situation with him, and he said it wouldn't have been erectile dysfunction because it came on too quickly. He said to leave it a month and see how it goes. A month later after doing some research and reading about the daily dose, I went back to see him and he approved me to start taking it. He explained that it is not available on the NHS.
In my original review I said that I felt some response after just four to six hours. I quickly realised that things hadn't been right for quite a while, but the decline had been so slow that we didn't notice. We discussed it at home and didn't like the idea of having to take a pill and then wait an hour or two for a response, so the simplicity of taking a small dose daily seemed a much better concept. I just take it each morning with my other medication.
The first couple of months were generally very good, but with occasional disappointments. I contacted the pharmacy and they suggested that I try a double dose, which seemed to resolve the problem, so I then reduced it to alternately five milligrams and ten milligrams. Subsequently I cut back to five milligrams a day. I would wholeheartedly recommend the product. I'm 68 and my wife is 10 years younger and we are having a wild time, I suppose, three or four times a week, usually every other day. Very occasionally I get a little bit of a sort of indigestion that makes me want to belch but I can't. That is apparently a known side effect. I took the advice and bought a 500 millilitre bottle of a supermarket's own brand of a well-known heartburn medication, (they call it "Heartburn and Indigestion Oral Suspension"). Once or twice a month I feel as though I need to have a quick swig. That's the only side effect I have suffered.
In my earlier review I did mention that occasionally I have trouble reaching orgasm. Because I had this problem two or three years ago, long before starting Tadalafil, I'm pretty sure that the two are not connected. I am on three other medications, one of which Google says can cause slight sexual malfunctions. Next time I see a GP I will discuss a change. The product that I think might be causing the problem is called bisoprolol, for blood pressure. I have read that there are other products available, that might ease my problem. The good thing about an inability to orgasm is that you're ready for another session a few hours later.
To sum up, I really believe in this product, even writing this review gets me slightly aroused. It hasn't increased my libido, but it has radically increased my confidence that, when aroused, all will end happily. I had a very good, almost immediate response when I started taking it, but it took perhaps three months before it reached a comfortable regular level position. I think it might have taken that long just to mentally condition myself to believing in it. I now find myself getting aroused quite readily. I have subsequently told the GP that restoring my love life has done more than antidepressants, and that it would save the NHS a fortune if they prescribed Tadalafil!”
