“Epimax Original Cream is my prescribed replacement for Diprobase - the pre-2021 version of this was my reliable stalwart for sensitive skin moisturising for years. I loved it. Until Bayer changed the formulation into "Advanced" (in their own words) and Diprobase went from being a thick, soothing cream into a thin, watery lotion that was incredibly irritant. I read reviews of this, and all patients thought the same. Perhaps coincidentally, my GP practice stopped prescribing it shortly after. Epimax became the preferred formulary replacement. Glad it did. It's wonderful stuff. Very healing and reassuringly thick and emollient-like. Just hope the manufacturers don't mess around with it.
