Hi Adriana
I am sorry to hear that you have not found Provera to be an effective treatment for you on this occasion.
Our support team have contacted you to find out a little more about your experience with this treatment, to enable our clinical team to directly provide you with some personalised advice.
Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for getting in touch; we always want to hear from our patients and understand all experiences with the products we provide.
Provera is a very popular product that helps delay your period for 7 or 17 days depending on the medication taken and is a synthetic version of the female hormone progesterone that can be taken on occasions to delay your period.
It is important to ensure the medication is taken 3 times a day before your period is due to start, as Provera can effectively stop all symptoms of your period including bleeding until you finish your course.
You will usually take Provera for 5-10 days beginning 16 days to 21 days after your last period began and most women will then experience their normal period around 3 days after they take the last tablet, but, if your cycle has already started, Provera will not be able to stop, pause or reverse this. It is therefore important to be able to take the course of medication at the right time after your last period, which may be a different time for any important or key events.
We do want to ensure that all patients are satisfied with the medication provided and our customer service team has contacted you to help ensure this is resolved to your satisfaction.
“Absolutely useless. I wanted to delay my period for my wedding,so started taking in plenty if time as instructed but after 3 days taking these I actually came on. So not only out of pocket but uncomfortable for my big day. I only opted using this service because I couldn't get through to my gp practice. Won't be making that mistake again.”
Thank you for your review,
