Nystan oral suspension is an anti-fungal, antibiotic medicine used to prevent and treat oral thrush (oral candidiasis or candidal infections) and contains the active ingredient nystatin, which is effective for the treatment of oral thrush.
As your GP originally prescribed this for you, as did our clinicians, it seems likely that this was the first option in the treatment plan to help ease your symptoms. Sometimes a stronger treatment may have been required which appears the case, however, I am pleased to hear that your symptoms are now beginning to ease.
