“The problem isn't the tablets ; the packaging was very poor. The tiny manufacturers carton was enclosed in a carton far too big for the letter box. I didn't hear a knock, but at around the scheduled time, I found the Post Office card saying the parcel was behind a refuse bin, which it was, but quite damp from the rain falling at the time. I understand your efforts to recycle where possible, but jiffy(?) bags can equally well be recycled.”
Hi David,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on the packaging and the delivery.
I am sorry that the parcel was left in an unsuitable place and that it became damp. We share your frustration with the courier as this does not meet the standards we would expect.
To protect medication during transit, our team uses hard shell packaging that helps keep items sealed and undamaged. The boxes we use follow the parcel size guidelines set by Royal Mail, and we can only send orders in packaging that is large enough to hold the contents without bending or damaging them. At checkout we indicate whether a parcel is likely to fit through a letterbox, although this can vary depending on the size of the letterbox at the delivery address.
If you know you will be away from home for future deliveries, it may help to update your delivery preferences directly with the courier using the tracking link. This allows you to request that the parcel be left in a safe place or with a neighbour, which can help avoid situations like this.
Our support team has contacted you directly in case you would like to discuss anything further. Your comments have also been shared with our Warehouse Operations Team, who are always looking for ways to improve the delivery experience for our customers.
