“... I am one of those that responded quite well. I recommend sticking with the tabs, even like me you lost a bit more in the beginning of taking them, although it wasn't loads... I started in my 40's with Propecia (Finasteride) and missed a couple of years as it was expensive when only accessible via Boots chemists. although my hair line has receded (I am 54 this year) the bulk of my hair over the rest of my head has been thick an more coming through... I know this as fact because friends used to laugh about I had two bald patches at the back when I was ice skating backwards fast, yet a few years ago one of them said they don't see any bald patches when going backwards anymore! I noticed this myself when looking in a mirror. I do use keratin hair sprinkles but only every now and then as I notice the areas I used to sprinkle I don't need to anymore. I did read up on updates recently and apparently men in their 40's tended to grow and keep hair on the top (crown) and the sides and back and does not regrow (although stops it receding more) in the receding areas at the temples. I noticed this over the year myself so I know it is true research. Do like me try to accept your hair loss where it is and take finasteride and just keep at it, wash your hair only every now and then, it will start staying clean on its own believe it or not, let it dry natural after you gently wipe most the water off etc... Give these tablets at least two years, even if you think nothing is happening and your hairs still falling out, that's the natural cycle... Brush your hair gently too and try to not use hair gel or sprays, I dye my hair and it doesn't seem to make it worse for wear or fall out. Oh and stop counting how many hairs fall out after a bath or shower! you'll soon see only a few have fallen out after about 6 months to a year of taking finasteride... This company are cheap too so I don't need to go without for a few months anymore as they are half the price from what I used to pay.”
