“The tablets are very hard to chew and break up. But mostly it is the taste I don’t care for. The are terribly bitter. What a shame. I won’t buy again.”
Hi Sheila
Thank you for leaving your review, we love to hear from all of our patients so that we know which items are popular and help ease the symptoms being treated, especially as this is your first time with us.
I am sorry to hear that you did not get on with the taste of the tablet but did want to draw your attention to this being a non-soluble tablet of paracetamol.
The product information leaflet enclosed with the medication will give the direction for the use of "Swallow the tablets whole with a drink of water" as these tablets are designed to be swallowed whole and not chewed or broken up.
This may explain why they taste slightly bitter.
If you were looking for a paracetamol product which would be easy to swallow, you may wish to try the soluble paracetamol tablets which you can find out more about on our website; https://www.theindependentpharmacy.co.uk/pain/paracetamol?default=paracetamol-soluble-tabs-500mg&fbs=0
The soluble paracetamol is an effervescent tablet which quickly dissolves in a glass of water, allowing you to swallow this easily without the bitter taste.
Should you require any advice in choosing a product which is suitable for your needs, our clinical team are always available to you.
